car buying advise
Hi guy's
Can anyone set me right on what fees I pay when buying a car.
Here's the scenario, I'm looking at cars (pre-certified used) from a main dealer.
Over the price of the car and the taxes (I take it is 13%) what other fees can they legally charge me for
so, registration, licence plate, does the dealer do all the paperwork?
Also my old car ...

Re: no rear seats / baby seat question
thanks cliff,
LOLZ in the trunk, nah I'd stuff my wife in the trunk and keep baby in the front; she's cuter and the "pullability" factor is greator
:)
I'm pretty sure that is perfectly legal.
I own a Miata 2-seater which is equipped with a switch to disable the passenger airbag. My kids are older now, but when they needed to use a baby/booster ...

Re: What do I say to the JP?
Hi all!
So this ticket I want to fight to the end. Question is what do I say to the justice of the peace when it is my turn? I know speeding is absolute liability so I don't want to make excuses and I do not want to embarrass myself. When I am asked, do I just be honest and politely say I pleaded not guilty to avoid an increase in my insurance ...

Re: What do I say to the JP?
Hi all!
I got ticketed for speeding - 68 on a 50 zone. The officer reduced it on the spot to 65.
Anyway, I already have a previous minor speeding conviction 2 years ago and pleading guilty now will surely raise my insurance which is up for renewal in October.
So I will be fighting this in court if only to delay conviction so I don't pay more ...

Re: conviction or ticket start date
ok that makes sense.
so when people try and delay the original ticket is this more to do with the 11b process of having a speedy trial.
And nothing really to do with the points coming off or the insurance deely
cheers
Again
The day you were charged is there for the demerit points. Points start from the day you were charged (not convicted) and ...

Re: First Resolution Meeting - experience
I would read my previous threads I've posted asking for help on my original offence, jeez I wish I was a prosecutor or knew one, I wouldnt have a conviction, I asked for help several times, mainly because my OCD, tends to cause me problems in these scenarios, I only had one reply on what to expect at court, so I the post is not about the rights or ...

in TO there is a private cubicle in which you can talk to the prosecutor
Hello,

See my recent thread on First Resolution;

and NO, what ever reason you have it wont be good enough, I thought mine was good. :P
BTW, its not the points that matter to insurance, only that its a conviction
for my ins.co. anything upto 50kms over is a minor ...

First Resolution Meeting - experience
Thought I'd write up my expereince of my first resolution appearance, in the hope that anyone attending has some idea.
For me especially with my OCD not knowing is more of a stress. This applied to the justice office at TO.
* So I got a date with the proesecutor (for me it was a Thursday morning) which worked out great due to it being my off day ...
