Re: Stopping two cars

New civic's are very nice for you......

Your style is very thorough. Next time you have the oppertunity on a smoggy day, light someone up from 1 km and keep the gun on them. If the speed decreases the closer they get closer then there is some effect.

I know you'll say they let they're foot off the gas but this would help prove the theory.

Re: Stopping two cars

The scope is offset from where the laser pulse is emitted. How is it aligned for different distances ?
I'm no great fan of having laser beams pointed at me while I'm driving, but I don't think parallax is an issue. The laser beam is not significantly affected by gravity and has no wind resistance, so the "error" between the sightline of the scope ...

Re: Stopping two cars

You could be using it properly and still have unseen influences.
Absoletely not!

If you have a video that I can see to the contrary PM me the link. And not the england guy who stands 50 seats away from the edge of the road.

I will hunt...... The nature of lidar is such that it will bounce off of everything and anything. All the manufacturer's ...

Re: Stopping two cars

Bear might be correct in that his equipment is 100% foolproof, but how it is used is definitely up for argument.

My offer of you coming to visit when I'm working and showing you the tools is still there!!

Once you see it and use the equipment, you will then understand the equipment better AND know why it is accurate! AS compared to the videos ...

Re: Stopping two cars

I'm sure this belongs in traffic jokes but here goes:

Officer: Mr Reflections, where are we going in such a hurry?
Me: I lost this stupid bet with a cop and I have to get him his prize.
Officer: And why do you need to drive so fast??
Me: He's a professional and demands results.
Officer: Results??
Me: This donut and Tims are fresh........Where did ...

Re: O.P.P officers avoid instant penalties!

The vagueness is such that it allows virtually anything you do while driving to be possibly considered an act of stunt driving or street racing. The type of irrevocable and unappealable consequences that can be imposed upon anyone, guilty or not, on the spot, is not justified in a free society.

So if the courts say one thing and the police say ...

Re: Stopping two cars

FYI, we do not give complete notes for our whole shift. Only applicable notes for the incident in question

Your alignment check is part of the incident

Absolutely, very easy to do obtain all speeds on all 3 vehicles.

Depends on vehicle gapping and your distance to target. 400 meters to target = 1.2 meter (4 feet) diameter beam, plus any ...

Re: Zero Tolerance for 1st 5 years of driving...

20 years old+Audi S4+340HP+A wee few wobbly pops= 1 dead driver, 1 dead passenger. I think the rest of us "poor" people know that one already.

A buddy of mine had a done up Camero, 400+ HP, went like snot. Didn't have a single drink when he was driving. Lets see, thats what we call, wait....for....it.......REPSONSI-F*****-BILITY. They're now ...

WARNING: THIS POST IS NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT AND IN NO WAY REPRESENTS THOSE WHO RUN THIS WEBSITE.

Most, 95%, of the people I know don't even think about drinking and driving. It is a learned behavior, thrill seeking...what have you. And I agree with Bookm, too many rural families will be hurt by this. And why are we, the public, having to ...

Better question: What evidence did the officer have that you were in the wrong lane. What about the other driver???????

You got a case........keep digging.
