For example if someone were to put a photocopy of a DL, registration and the actual insurance card into a large clear ziplock bag and hang it from the vehicle window - does that qualify as surrendering for reasonable inspection? How long do you need to provide the reasonable inspection?

Surrender for reasonable inspection - what does that mean exactly?
Re: Surrender for reasonable inspection - what does that mean exactly?
There are a couple reasons in Ontario where an officer can pull you over without cause.
Those can be:
(a) To check your driving related documentation.
(b) inspect the mechanical fitness of your vehicle and/or
(c) to check your sobriety
A sobriety check would, best case scenario, require you to roll down your window.

Thanks for that but it really does not answer the question - is there any case law as to what exactly "reasonable inspection" is?

I have seen far too many cases where the JP allows the Crown to railroad the defense so I'd like to brush up on my due process arguments.
