Hello All Sorry to just come out with a question but representing yourself and finding this info has its limits. I was at an intersection, advanced green. I walked close to the curb and a car that was turning right thought i was going to walk across and stopped, I waved him through and he went. Granted I was close to the curb, but not on the roadside. Advance stopped but the red signal did not go, but i crossed. Officer yelled at my while i was in the middle of the intersection and told me i took that cars right of way away and they almost hit me. I argued back, he did not like that. He decided to give me a ticket. On the ticket he wrote pedestrian fail to yield at a crossover under "did commit the offence"section. In contrary to he put Highway Traffic Act 140(4). I read under the act and it says Duty of pedestrian (4) No pedestrian shall leave the curb or other place of safety at a pedestrian crossover and walk, run or move into the path of a vehicle that is so close that it is impracticable for the driver of the vehicle to comply with subsection (1). 2015, c. 14, s. 39 (2). Am I right in thinking that the did commit the offence is completely different from what the actual act is saying? The wording of the did commit has nothing to do with 140(4) as i read it. Also, has anyone had a final decision really on this whole crossover vs crosswalk thing? the way i am reading it a crossover is not at an intersection.

We all know that numerous police agencies around Ontario (and world for that matter) set up speed traps in inconspicuous locations to catch motorists who are speeding.
