Environmental / Emissions Equipment Infractions

by: Newbie1 on

Does a ticket under the environmental act, for operating a vehicle with missing original equipment (specficially an EGR valve on a pre-1987 vehicle) constitute a HTA violation may affect insurance rates? I.e. is it equivalent to any other 0-demerit point violation?

Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

It is not an HTA violation.

I would guess it would go on your licence and onto your driving abstract, but don't have a clue. I have never seen it on a driving abstract
