So i'm a tow truck operator whom is contracted to CAA and i drive a heno flatbed. I was pulled over today for disobeying the "No trucks" sign. To my knowledge tow truck operators are exempt from this sign because we are considered service vehicles. Especially if the vehicle we're about to drop off or pick up is located on such streets. When i told the officer i should not be getting a ticket due to tow truck drivers being exempt. He kept on rambling about how my truck is 5 tonnes.
I've search online for an answer to this but no luck. I found a article for quebec that states that farm vehicles, tow trucks, etc are exempt from this, but not one for ontario
