Re: Request vehicle licencing information on private property

hibear wrote Thought a "rider" was used when I would rent a vehicle? I pay an extra $25 or something per year for this.

Not sure about the $25.

When you have paid-up insurance," then you buy another car you are covered for up to 14 days"

It is like a rider.(ryder)

You will likely need a copy of your other slip but you are covered on your new ...

Re: Request vehicle licencing information on private property

The truck should not have been towed.
The driver's insurance would cover him unless he had some other clause.
By him I mean "him"
His insurance will-not cover the other truck.Unless he called his agent
and set it up.(usually they will give you 3-5 days grace)
You don't get a slip it is just a rider to his insurance.

And Yes they can follow onto ...

Re: 1 way street what is it?

When charges get withdrawn as officer has "no evidence" it usually means that police officer did not have sufficent evidence for the prosecutor to proceed with your matter.

An example: officer did not make any notes re: the offence and does not recall important particulars.

Thanks now I get it (now) she agreed that there was no red circle with ...

Re: 2 Toronto Parking tickets in 2 minutes!!!

By the way, I went to court yesterday and the counter clerk told me that he can cancel one of the tickets if I agree to pay the other one or that I should take both to court. I didn't like his attitude or his style of delivery so I gave him a fake polite smile (I picked up some bad habits after spending 15 years in Canada ) and told him ...

Re: 2 Toronto Parking tickets in 2 minutes!!!

My buddy came over for a visit, blocked my driveway and my neighbor had to park on the street (prohibited between 10:00 and 18:00. Recently she received 2 notices of impending conviction for the same offense (the infraction numbers differ by 1), one with a 13:29 time stamp and the other with 13:31 time stamp. Now, the neighbor never received any ...

The charge would have been dropped altogether.

Just curious why did you plea to any charge?
Were charged with both at the same time?

They used do it for parking tickets in Toronto and gta.
Sunday mornings they delivered them.
My parents got mad at me about it. lol

Re: 1 way street what is it?

What kind of evidence would they need?

I am thinking the bylaw.(where the sign must be posted)

They gave me no chance to ask they just kicked me out of there.

Re: Redlight camera flashes at left turn

If it (the flash) was in front of you it was for the other direction traffic.
I saw a funeral escort going through one of those, the thing flashed 10 times.

Re: 1 way street what is it?

I went to court yesterday on this matter.
What an eye opener.
10:30 start I got there at 10:30
I sat at the back and just watched how it was done.
People talked to the DA and automatically got reduced fines to plead guilty.
I did not know that I was supposed to go up and tell them I was there
but I heard my name mentioned so I went up.(all before ...

Re: Unethical Speeding Ticket

We all constantly pay taxes at the pumps, stores, property tax etc..... or utility charges of "delivery to you" charges etc....where we have absolutely no control over it and don't complain....

Yet we have complete control over our fate on the roads and all of a sudden when someone gets stopped it is a a tax grab. It is easy to control your own ...

Re: failing to signal

I don't think you need to signal if you are in a lane that clearly indicates it is a turn lane. (what else would you be doing?)

You could be going straight (if the road allows) or wanting to merge back into a through-lane.

Or you could be one of bookm's co-stars and be looking to pull a turn across all lanes of traffic.

Then you would ...

I hate when the car sales person asks...do you want those optional signal lights installed for $99.99?
A. Why er...yes
Q. For an extra $39.99, would you like the wiring hooked up too
A. yes
Q. For an extra $19.99, would you like a bulb in each lens?
A. Got the wiring, might as well
Great, we'll even toss in a activation handle free ...
