Hey guys,
I know I shouldn't have driving but I slept at my buddies' place and I thought I was ok to drive in the morning.. needless to say I still drove and got pulled over.
Background details:
I was pulled over in the morning last week, apparently going 120 km/hr on 90km Northbound DVP. Two cop cars tailed me for a bit, saw them in my rearview ...

Came to a full stop at the intersection in the left turn lane, the light turned green and I pulled forward into the intersection and stopped to wait for a clearing to turn left.
A van to my left actually turned left, what I assumed was jumping the green, and I saw the officer proceed into the intersection.

Re: Driver failing to properly wear a seat belt
Looking for any help I can get.
I got stopped at a 4 way stop a month ago as I was pulling up to the stop sign.
I first checked if there were any cars around me to ensure my safety then started to removed my seat belt.
I saw the police stopped about 30 feet from the stop sign while removing my seat belt feeling I was doing nothing wrong.

Re: Open Alcohol In Car
Never lost one in court...
I have had a charge like that but not in a vehicle.
I was in a after-hours bar one time when it got raided.
Me and my gal were just sitting having a drink.
They had shotguns stuff like that.(Toronto)
They took anyone dancing out in paddy wagon's
For the rest of us they went around and gave tickets.(to leave)

Following to close seems more like it.(but you were careless)
You must keep enough space between you and the next person for you to stop.
Go to a first attendance meeting and take a lesser charge.

If you turn it off and leave it is parked.drivingron wrote:when is a car parked? When you stop and sit in your car's drivers seat, are you parking or just stopping? How is parking defined under the Ontario Traffic Act?
If you sit in it it is stopped.

Re: Pull over to throw up, got ticket for parking in Fire Route
So I should explain my situation to the clerk at the desk and she can reject the ticket? or do I still have to wait for a court date?
I'm really upset with this ticket because the officer did not care about anything other than slapping that yellow ticket on the windshield. It was almost as if he was hearing impaired. I understand it's his job ...

Re: Pull over to throw up, got ticket for parking in Fire Route
you will beat this on your own easy.
Pick option 3
Go to the markem road office around 8:30 a.m.
(pay the meter thing $1.00 display it as they have a full-time ticket writer there)
Go in to your left and enter (parking)
Now you need to fill out a short form.
Present that. At this point they can reject the ticket.

Verbal word convicts - same as every other trial...fail to surrender documents, speeding etc.
1. No physical evidence needed for those.(hard goods from defense)
2. Man I would have paid to see you lugging in a case of opened beer to court.
3. If the beer was poured out it probably meant the OP admitted to it.(as 1/4 beer) It is too bad ...

Re: Food Delivery Trucks Exempt?
Almost every town has exceptions for delivery.
Usually it is 10 minutes and you have to park in a no-parking zone or a lane way.
In Toronto if you do the above the ticket will be canceled, if you dispute it.

No demerit points for a LLA offence.

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and looking for some advice.
I'm a newish driver and got my first traffic ticket for failing to obey the signs (H.T.A. 182 (2)).
I recognize that I am at fault for not paying close attention, but I very rarely drive in the area. (Still that's not an excuse, I'm aware of that) The bottom line though is that I really don ...
