They turn as usual into their lane but stop just after the turn in the hope you will rear end them.

You also have to watch for accident "staggers".
Some of these idiots will turn then stop dead just as they pass the markings.
I almost hit 2 off them last week.

Re: At what point do I argue financial hardship?
If you plead guilty they will be happy to give you time to pay.
Good for reduced fine as well.
Explain your hardship and ask for a time/frame that you can meet.
I.E: $33.00 per month till paid.
You must follow then plan though or you will be in trouble.

Re: My experience at Queen St court house
During this time the officer that had charged me was talking to his other police friends and trying to get me intimidate me, but since I ignored it, he then decided to approached me and take more direct route.

Re: Red light camera at Bronson and Carling
I tried to copy the "event" today.
I was going 40 kph and slowed to 25kph.
My foot was over the brake to slow down.
(no reaction time involved.)
It took me less then 1 small car length to stop.(just over 2 meters.)
I would think anyone nearing a red light would have their foot on the brake already.
It would be an "abrupt" stop but it is easy to do ...

I stand corrected.
It is, most likely' only the accused that can do that.
I cannot find the case law (2 hours of looking).

Re: Summons to Witness
I was hit while driving. It was the other guy's fault and he was charged with careless driving.
I have just received a "summons to witness". The summons threatens all sorts of dire consequences if I don't show up to court.
The problem is that I don't want to show up to court. Besides being difficult for me, the other driver is an acquaintance ...

Re: How to defend against this?
You were most likely trying to pass the person.
The person was most likely trying to get to the right so you could pass.
As far as I know the leader in the turn lane can choose what-ever lane they want.
You are in the wrong just pick option 3 and hope.

Re: How to defend against this?
I was going home one evening when at an intersection the driver in front of me,"johnny" was driving really slow and didn't move when the advanced signal had changed to green. In order to avoid a back log of traffic, I moved into the right lane immediately after turning left in order to allow more cars through on the advanced light. Then i was ...

Re: Right Turn (Eglinton/Old Forest Hill Rd) 144(9)
Hello all, I'm new to the forum and I hae been browsing around to seek some advice (not the legal sort of course, we'll call it tactical) on a ticket I recieved today. Today I was charged under s144(9) for failing to observe a sign to not turn right on to old forest hill rd (7am-7pm). The officer was down the street and had an obvoius view of my ...
