Re: HTA 75(1) enforcement
Does anyone have an opinion why HTA #75 (1) seems to be never used against motorcyclists (the vast majority are harleys) that have obvious exhaust modifications for the purpose of emitting great amounts of noise. The act says "Every motor vehicle........shall be equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation to prevent ...

Did you in fact go to court and fill in the challenge section?(not guilty)
They give you a copy if you did.(looks kinda like a parking ticket)

Re: 4 tickets for driving with no insurance
Thank you both for your help.
I called some insurance companies again today and I don't understand why they don't want to at least start my policy with my US driver's license. I have proof that it is still valid and clean but not a certified one. And I need to get the car out of the pound asap. This is just depressing... I totally screwed myself ...

Re: Driving without Headlights...Interpretation of Law
Hi Stanton,
The reason I'm saying that my ticket should not be valid is based on the fact that the officer gave me that ticket on the incorrect perception that "headlights" are required. The ticket says "Drive without headlights - motor vehicle" 62(1). My argument is that based on what he wrote and what the section referenced that this is not an ...

Re: Caution to Motorcyclists - Regional Police Targeting Us
Back in the day HeHe
I used to wear a open-face with a full-face shield.(at cold times or bug time)
So I have been there and done that.
The reason that they want your helmet off is to smell your breath.
It is nothing to do with DOT.
But use it as excuse.
Cheers

Re: Red Light traffic tickets
So I have a court date set for July 15th, my case was re-opened without any issues, the JP said there were many reason's for her to OK the re-open. On the paperwork it says total fine due is $325 for each ticket, not the $420 that IQOR Canada had told me (so they did impose an extra fee). Right before i saw the JP, another person had pled guilty ...

I was amazed today
Today at the parking ticket office, (I was there to get my ticket canceled and it was) The person in front
was fighting their ticket.
They asked for disclosure.
The clerk answered back that they don't give it out.?
The person was right next to me ,in fact , the clerk was doing us both at the same time.
The person says they are entitled to it ...

Re: Are these "fatal errors"?
95 times out of 100 you will have the charge with-drawn.
Fuel economy means nothing for the charge.
My car gets 50% better mileage at 140kph or .50% less at 90 kph.
That said if you don't slow for a cop you get what you get.
Cheers

Re: Careless Driving Charge from statement from another driv
Thank you for your reply. The officer did say that when she turned around to come after me she noticed that i put my brakes on and that i was less than one car length away from the car ahead of me. However as is the case anytime someone sees a cop..... we all put our brakes on. I might add that i was in the right hand lane moving with the flow of ...

Re: Are these "fatal errors"?
Hello,
I was just wondering if you are radar'd by an oncoming police cruiser while you have a car behind you and the officer passes you both, cruisers brakes are noted, then I went around a corner (still on the highway) and lost site of the cruiser. Approx 1-2 minutes later the cruiser is noted behind the car behind me, 20 seconds later he puts ...

Re: Parking 3M of Firehydrant
Maybe I misunderstood you?
If there a hydrant you should be able to see it.(I thought you said it is not visible?)
There is no sign needed unless it is behind a wall or some such thing.
Yes, show, the pictures to the crown.
And later to the judge if you need to.
Don't mention anything about sidewalk markings.
Luck
