Court Reporter has officer availability matched with court dates right in front of them (on the computer) and that is what they choose for adjournment dates. I know, been there dozens of times (when defendant wants an adjournment at last minute), just flip open my daytimer and add the person to the new date, always just an add on to the list.

Re: Picked UP disclosure for trial..Improper ?
If you ask for a stay from the JP when you are called up to plead and you get an adjournment, your new court date will most likely be one on that JP's next scheduled court dates and not the date that the officer has his/her cases scheduled for (maybe adds another 2 to 4 months). That would reduce the chance of the officer showing up as they would ...

I don't think asking for a minimum of 2 estimates on paper is unfair either. If you feel threatened then go to your local police and make a report.

As Simon mentioned the ticket/offence notice is the "official" document referred to in court for the offence. The trial notice is simply that, notifying you of the court date.

Re: Parking Lot fender bender - my obligations?
IMHO..$1200 seems rather cheap for a dent plus rental vehicle.
Recently saw a autoshop bill for a scuff on rear passenger door, scuff on trim (not thru paint on either item) no dent and the cost was $780. It was the lowest of the 2 estimates for the vehicle from 2 licenced body shops.

Traffic Control Device timing
Keep hearing I can't stop, not enough time etc... Interesting is the Minimum times.....I have yet to see any light at that little of time, the lights where I live all have 4 sec amber and 2 sec all red.
This is a suggested way on how to set up traffic control device timing - I will post below, but here is link

Re: Where to wait to make a left turn at a intersection.
Agree with RI.
Absolutely you can move forward past the stop line when the light is green, to wait for the opportunity to turn when safe to do so.
Then it goes into common sense (not law) that only one vehicle be forward waiting to turn. Once the vehicle successfully turns the next vehicle moves past the line and waits etc... This prevents ...

1 day or 1yr old expired, I still will issue the offence notice, which is $110. Over a year I tend to issue a summons, automatic court and crown can ask for a higher penalty.

Simply a truck and plow must be properly licenced to be on any highway as it is defined a motor vehicle. Use of flashing blue lights is also prohibited on private snow removal equipment.

Re: how long to process ticket
Only involvement police have with an offence notice (ticket) is issuing it to a driver.
All other involvement (paying, pleading, trial) is dealt with by the courts - which is the address that you mailed in the payment to - so call that court.
Other option would have been to use www.paytickets.ca which is an online payment method

Unbelievable!!! = not guilty.
An emergency is quite clearly written, that the driver must place the call (not receive) and only call EMS, FIRE, Police.
Its not about not having compassion either, hear so many of the same excuses/reasons over and over. Most certainly can list many commonly used reasons to which the above would be included.
