Re: Fail to have insurance card

Edit: I should add I'm not 100% certain that you legally need to have validation affixed to the back of the ownership. You're supposed to, but I'm not sure if it's law. Hopefully someone else can clarify.
Yes, the permit must be "validated" on the back, which is exactly as you mentioned.
When you renew your validation there is 2 validation ...

How would that be valid if you can't see the sign facing the oncoming traffic?

The reciprocity with 40+ states is for non-paid tickets. So if the ticket is not paid, then Ontario will report it.
It is more than unpaid fines. All convictions in a province or state with recipricol agreement get added to the Ontario driving history. I have seen it.

As for getting his physical licence back, I'm not sure what the OPP does for ...

Is there any way I can request the police officers time log before my next trial date? Or should I ask him directly in the court about the fact during my next trial? ( I am afraid that he might answer he cant remember what exactly his schedule was on a date a month ago.)

The officer will remember his/her schedule a month ago, years ago, by ...

For the sake of the red lights, simple solution is just to black bag them. (Marble bag with drawstring would work well)

Here is low down. Call of driving complaint of car with plate XXX111, weaving in traffic. Plate is then queried by the call taker/dispatcher and then broadcast to units. Re: "Military Police" markings - allowed?

At the end of the day, I don't think too many reasonable people would believe an older military truck is being used by an on duty police officer.
I would go the other way....not too many people see military vehicles on a daily basis. And from reading in paper some of our military vehicles are quite old, I would think it could be a legitimate ...

If LIDAR can only target one vehicle, it must have been one of the three cars described in the initial post, if I can establish that there were no vehicles in-front/behind of our group.

I'm going to plead not guilty and have a go at it. My thinking is that it should be fairly easy to prove that I wasn't the lead vehicle in question as long as the Officer well...tells the truth (for lack of a better term).

That will be very difficult to do for multiple reasons.

Re: Resulting demerit points will terminate schooling

Remember that the demerit points do not get applied until you pay the fine, trial or no trial.

If you are convicted and the JP gives you a 60 day extension to pay the ticket, do the demerit points get applied that day or 60 days later when you actually pay the fine?

Demerit points are effective to the "offence date", but are not added until a ...

Re: Suspension for Novice Violation(s)

The suspension has nothing to do with demerit points. Simply there are conditions for novice drivers to follow that prove they are responsible and can abide by their licence conditions while learning how to drive.

HTA OREG 340/94 sec 9
1) licence will be suspended for violating a novice condition
2) you shall be notified of the suspension date ...

Even still, it is unclear to me from the notes as to who exactly the 'target' vehicle was. A lead vehicle was observed (this implies there was more than one vehicle) and a vehicle was targeted, but there is no specification as to which vehicle this was (was it the lead? was it me? was it the third vehicle?).

Seems very clear to me from the notes ...
