Re: Disobey Sign 182(2)

I don't know if this is true or not but a prosecutor told me that lane markings are not enforceable (solid, dashed, yellow or white) they are only recommendations. S.182 is about disobeying signs, not lane markings. I can't find any HTA entry against disobeying lane markings other than going left of centre of the road!

HTA 154 Fail to drive in a ...

Re: Report impaired or cancel insurance policy

If you do not notify your insurance as you mentioned, will this enable them to say that you are "making false statements of some sort" and flag you for that on top of an impaired flag?? Certainly a double flag is worse than a single?

Re: NEED HELP ASAP

I . IT makes no ense because if someone hit me than i wouldnt have gotten the ticket.

HUH?

If the van hit the car, the van driver would get a ticket....unless the van was stopped and the force of your vehicle is so great that it pushes the van into the vehicle in front. Same if another vehicle rear ends you, they would get a ticket also. If ...

However, here is a good website :D

on this site FAQ
Can I do an inquiry on a ticket I previously paid through paytickets.ca?
At this time you cannot do an inquiry on a previously paid ticket. To confirm payment of a ticket or to get ...

GPS

Just bought my 1st GPS. Pretty decent little outfit. Have used it on a couple of short trips and got me to the destintation properly.

I have taken it to work recently and it is not as accurate as I first had hoped. The calculation of my vehicle speed is off by 2km/hr (GPS reads high). When stationary in many locations, it does not place me exactly ...

Re: Violation of Novice Driver Conditions

Any violation conditions for a G1 or G2 licence will result in a licence suspension.

This is why the conditions are in place, makes less experienced drivers EARN there complete licence. Fail to adhere to simple conditions and "bye bye" licence.

Further, when you get reinstated ($150 reinstatement fee) check your licence class, I was always under ...

Re: First Ticket - Fighting it - Need help!

Now with this scenario......where was the car that had stopped behind you positioned? If they were over the stop line, I would have ALSO charged that driver for stop wrong place.

I would suggest you take this interection concern to you local counsel to have the parking spots removed so that this does not block a view of oncoming traffic in the ...

Re: Impaired Info?

Not saying it does not happen, but I have never made any driver do any physical tests at roadside or at the office.

Your raise a good point.....imaginge all those things you mentioned at once and defense asks the officer to do them in court as a demonstration and can't .....doh!

If the light was/has turned, time to complete your movement to avoid obstructing traffic.

Why would an evasive manoeuvres not have to be completed safely?

Re: rule for distance behind another vehicle

My rule is, if I want to live I hang way back (unless preparing to pass... or "nerving" someone!).

Actually is safer to be farther back when you want to pass. Reason, most times you can just move your "noggin" a little and see past the vehicle to ensure the oncoming lane is clear. If you wait for an approaching vehicle, you can actually time it ...

Re: First Ticket - Fighting it - Need help!

Any movement one makes must be made in safety (changing lanes, going forward, backing up). Which means without hitting a vehicle, person or object if one was to set their vehicle in motion.

There is no stopping distance between vehicles.

Re: Impaired Info?

Something I've long wondered about -- do we in Ontario make people suspected of impaired driving do the same physical tests that we see on COPS on TV from the Excited States? I don't think I'm likely to fall under suspicion any time soon if I don't drink, but I do drive, and ... you never know! If I were told right now to get off my chair, tip my ...
