A direct part of either act to tow = no!
However, no motor vehicle can be on a highway without insurance.
I have never came across a vehicle with "no insurance" with proper plates. A vehicle without proper plates has authorization to be towed. Go a step further, can not let the driver proceed as it will be a continuation of the offence. Or if ...

What a day
Just finished work. Hwy 401 was snow covered on passing lane, driving lane was track bare with visible ice and slush.
Assisting with a collision as my partner was around a corner, so I parked on the shoulder with lights going, flares on the shoulder to warn drivers about the crash around the corner.
 ON....do you think ^%@&^%*# drivers ...

Does anyone know if a road test is required for the Genesis 2 Directional radar?
No. See here
YES, last part of the test that an operator must do is a mobile test. Simply be in motion and confirm that the patrol speed = speedomter reading.
What is the beam width of the Genesis 2, at 100 metres?
Is it possible for the mobile Genesis 2 to ...

Re: 2 tickets - worth negotiating?
Think the insurance was just a plain ole ticket. Not a summons to owner with failing to have insurance as vehicle would have been towed on the spot.
Just fortunate that officer is acceptable to the 72hrs attend office thing as that is NOT a requirement. Either one has the documents at roadside and surrender them or not.

Re: Nailed doing 46 over in a post 60 that changed to 80
If you are the second car that makes it that much easier for a speed reading, especially in the above situation. Just activate the radar obtain a speed reading on the approaching vehicles (pending what type of radar etc) Keep the radar activated until vehicle one has passed the cruiser, thus the second vehicle is now the solo vehicle, thus ...

Re: Careless driving involving pedestrian
Original says that it is a "4-way" intersection. Would that mean that all directions are controlled by a stop sign.....plus an additional flashing red for (east/west) as it has more traffic?

Re: Careless driving w/ pedestrian
That does not make sense.....if you are going north and go left, that is WEST. If you go RIGHT that would be EAST.Angels13 wrote:I'm going North to turn left (eastbound)....thanks!

Re: stopping for a school bus
I can understand if it was part of an accident, but how can you prove in court that somebody ran a red light, after the fact? No police saw the incident, but a random passerby was the only Witness. .
Still the same as a collision, no police saw the incident, it is after the fact the charge is still laid.
Even for collisions that go to court ...

Re: stopping for a school bus
Why are we so quick to believe a school bus driver over the ticketed driver??
That's what I would like to know.
I would suggest drivers drive more cautiously around the school bus, it is small kids after all. Rather the others around error in the side of caution. Any school bus I have ever seen also ensures traffic is a reasonable distance ...

Re: stopping for a school bus
How can you get a ticket based on some else's claim or report? You can't!
That happens on every collision with a charge. All evidence from someon other than the police. Similiar to someone "cut me off" calls in to police and maintains sight until stopped by police. Statement to police and a charge can be laid based on the evidence of the other ...

Re: Don't ditch your Car, OR ELSE...
I think there should be room for police through a representative, whether it is the commissioner or chief of police to suggest to government laws that should be in place.
There are many issues not seen by people directly at the front line that police routinely see, then they think a new law is bad.
The government still has to discuss, debate and ...

A thing that plays into all these signs is stupid courts and defence people making/playing on words to no end to bamboozle JP's, judges to know end.

I may be wrong, but to what I have heard is that tuning forks in themselves are made by using radar.....they keep shaving the metal to the tune of speed "X" on radar.
Even if the above is not the case, the tuning fork potentially could get dings, knicks or even bent over time, thus giving a wrong "tune" to the radar, unit is sent for repair but ...

Radar units WIN over GPS
Decatur, IL -- A Sonoma County, CA, judge has ruled a speeding case supported by an officer's radar cannot be thrown out because the speeder's GPS system allegedly contradicted the radar speed.
Roger Rude, a retired Sonoma County sheriff's lieutenant, brought the case, fighting a ticket his stepson, Shaun Malone, received for going 62 MPH in a 45 ...
