Re: Do I need to inform my insurer about an accident

once the police complete a "traffic report", which is a simply a collision report...from there it goes to the MTO where the info is uploaded on the driving history of those on the report.
I do not know the legalities of initial notification, but upon renewal you would have to answer "yes" that you have been in a collision as the insurance company ...

clover - thanks for giving an insight into the auctions to all of us

Still wonder why the MTO has an outlet there, but doesnt bother having a printer to provide a permit (ownership) for the vehicle, but spends more money to mail it out :?

Re: 4 summons

well, looked over a bit of this and some things are both ways here

HTA 7(5)(A) permit for motor vehicle must be carried or a true photo copy thereof
HTA 11(2) you only have 6 days to transfer the vehicle into your name
HTA OREG 628 2(1)(a), prior to receiving a permit, a valid Safety has to be given to new owner. Safety has to have been done ...

Re: Suspended License Question

Take the receipt from the court and then go to the MTO. I would think there should be some sort of reference to the suspension # on the court receipt, so the MTO will know that it is paid in full and you can then just pay the reinstatement fee.

ps...don't drive until this is resolved

Re: Disclosure contact information?

For one, there's no information available online regarding anything to do with Toronto's Prosecutors on an official level.
http://www.toronto.ca/city_directory/pdf/divisions/court_services.pdf

A blanket court form is made available on the toronto.ca website which asks for a telephone number, but isn't an adequate defense request and shouldn't ...

Re: I don't know if the cop used a radar or not - what next?

did you request disclosure yet? ultimately the longer you wait to resolve the ticket the longer it will be on your record. It's from the conviction date not the date of the ticket. So if this doesn't get resolved until March 20, this ticket will be on your record from that date.

The driving record is added via the date of the offence and the ...

The offence location on the ticket should be where the offence took place, not where the vehicle is stopped.

Re: careless driving alcohol level between 0.5-0.8 G1

And DUI -drive under influence is not a traffic offence, it is criminal offence which is much much worse than careless drive.
So, get some money and find a good lawyer.

this is NOT a criminal DUI case.
This is simply a 3 day suspension (Provincial) for being in the "warn" range which is 50 to 99mgs of alcohol in 100ml of blood.
(Which is ...

Re: Too many points all of a sudden

As of right now my record shows 0 convictions.
You will have 3 convictions on your record right now. (as you indicated in your post). The records do not "go away". It is simply that insurance only goes back "X" number of years and points are only for 2 yrs.
of all 4 tickets I would have my Ontario license suspended. The number of points I could ...

Ok, read OREG 108/11 sec 3(4) is for red light camera offences and the notice shall be on a Form 6.

Is this a red light camera offence? If so, I can move this post to the red light camera area.

I would think a wrong intersection would be a defence, however, you have to go to trial and convince the JP that, good luck
