Re: Left Turn when light turns, before letting oncoming traffic

Why didn't we just increase the fines ...

You're right DL. There are many "stunts" that aren't nearly as dangerous, such as running stop signs, running reds, etc. But our current government and OPP chief are on a blitz to ruin the lives of young people in this province and grab as much cash as they possibly can.
This is the only weird stunt one that I can find that probably was added ...

Re: Penalties for speeding
So it's agreed... We all want to avoid court. So stop writing tickets and the problem is solved! :)
But surely it would be much more difficult to visually estimate a vehicle approaching virtually head-on, rather than at a large viewing angle which would be inadequate for speed-detecting devices.
Vehicles going across the plain of ...

No physical proof whatsoever... .
need a paint gun to imprint the speed on your windshield when tracked?

As . Also, the officer is not required to inform a driver of the demerit points for the charge, or any other ministry sanctions.
I will never tell anyone how many demerit points are attached to a offence, even if asked at roadside. I'm not being a @$$, but if I was to have a brain fart sometime, I don't want to mislead the driver. I always tell ...

This IS my biggest concern of mine of all HTA violations. This affects my coworkers and my life daily!

This law (Bill 191 2002) has been in effect since 09 December 2002 .

Re: Careless driving as well as parking, standing signs
Whether a vehicle is parked, standing, stopped or whatever the case may be and not in the designated painted lines (car parking stalls) it all comes down to common courtesy for other motorists.
Whether there are signs posted or not, where vehicles are intended to be in a moving motion it is rude and ignorant to just stop there for your ...
