The dealer plates were insured and I believe I was authorized by the owner to use them.
I've read through IBAO, but don't quite understand what you mean by the blanket insurance...
Does blanket insurance only cover the fleet of cars of a dealership?
"blanket" insurance, refers to the dealership vehicles, in other words it covers all vehicles in ...

OPS Copper -- "The calibrator is the mouth of the officer doing the calibration there is no certificate of conformity."
That's not a calibration, that's a zero check, and a poor one at that, considering the variables associated with different peoples breath, should be using a compressed "standard" gas. A proper calibration requires that the unit ...

Re: to testify or not
you asked for thoughts and my response was in fact accurate for your second point ...in reference to 1 or 2 veh and errors... and how those can be articulated by the officer.
however, I am curious as to this stopwatch method, do you use the aircraft lines on the hwy for that?

Re: Just receive a ticket for no insurance while selling my
Actually the buyer's plates weren't attached to the car but was place on the window, he said he did it all the time at his dealership and never had problems.
ok, add in plates improperly displayed too!!
The dealer can put the a dealer plate on a vehicle, provided that vehicle is part of the dealers own inventory (registered thru MTO )
sorry ...

Re: to testify or not
- details regarding other closeby traffic differs from what the officer has noted; important, I believe, in this case, as there was significant traffic present, and another car pulled over just after, whereas the officer's notes indicate a lone vehicle.

Re: Just receive a ticket for no insurance while selling my
I should have been more careful, I got a deposition from the buyer today stating what happened that day as well. .
well, your buyer could have also been charged "permit use of plates not authorized for vehicle" and had the plates seized, plus sent in for audit review of the dealership.
and you could have added to "use plates not authorized"

Re: Failure to Stop - Red Light (Yes, yes, another one)
What I want to know from the community is whether or not I have reason to fight this case. I understand that I could have potentially incriminated myself initially when the officer said "You failed to stop at the yellow". But then if that was the case, why would the officer issue me a failure to stop at a red light ticket?

Re: Seatbelt note
matt123 - never heard of a doctor doing that for "the day"...that seems very odd
prosecutor probably staples it to the "crown brief" so if he/she gets questioned on why charge was withdrawn, they can provide the quick easy note!

i just did a zoom and the "centre" lane appears like a "turning lane" for either EB or WB vehicles to turn into businesses or other roads.
still anyone on Dundas has right of way over those on all side streets

Re: Left turn collision, person travelling in wrong lane
It took place on Dundas St W and Novar Rd in Mississauga.
I was taking a left on Dundas to go East bound. The other person was travelling West bound on Dundas
So by this you were stopped S/B on Novar Road and made a left turn to go E/B on Dundas Street West. The other driver was already travelling W/B on Dundas Street W.

Re: Seatbelt note
matt123 - few good points
- note intself should have a letterhead from doctors office
- be able to read same
- expiry as conditions do change
- if it is indefinte for exemption the doctor could put that on too. I have see some that are so faded/yellow, just told person to have it updated so it can be read easier

Re: Roadside Suspension
I agree drinking and driving is stupid, but having two beers and getting charged is also stupid,
2 drinks wouldnt even give a "WARN"
As a police officer you should know everyone has only had 2 drinks.
Maybe some bars serve really big glasses of beer.
yes, forgot those
