go to your closest MTO and obtain a "suspension" number and how much is owing and for what. Take that info to your city hall or close s t traffic court in your area and do what you have to do. Get a receipt and make sure the "suspension #" is listed on it, and a balance. Then take that back to MTO to get re-instated.

30-49km over is $6 per km over = $204.00 + surcharge of $50 (guessing) for a total of $254.00
There is only a location for a licence plate on the offence notice, no make/model.

most lanes are 3.5-3.75m wide....bicycle should be out about 1 metre (or in right tire track) to avoid drains, gutters etc...
this will leave 2.5-2.75m.
Add in the width of a bicycle 50cm... now down to about 2.0-2.5m of room.
Add in 1 metre for clearance....now at 1.0-1.5m of room.

It doesn't matter whether you're holding the phone to your ear or talking through a bluetooth system. You're just as distracted either way. The law is suboptimal; they should have banned cellular phone use altogether.
There are supposedly studies suggesting that it is even more distracting to use hands-free than using a physical phone. .

Now somebody correct me if I'm wrong but because the officer didn't witness the collision the woman who was hit would have to testify in court in order for the crown to have a case. Otherwise the officer is just presenting hearsay evidence correct? Now what if the woman who was hit "forgot" to show up on the court date? Does the crown actually ...

Is the officer required to bring in "calibration records" and certificates for the radar and the tuning fork (is this how they set it)?
No
If asked at the trial does the officer need to produce their certification records and that of the person who certified them? No

set fine for that is $2.50 per km over (as set by the ontario courts...not MTO) plus the surcharge...so I will guess at $12.50 plus $5 for $17.50 total.btbitola wrote:Well set fine is 25$ and when I looked today at MTO website from 0-20 km/h over fine is 3$ per km/h exceeding which will come to 15$ not 25$ as in my ticket.

most times the injured person is not from the area that the officer patrols. Once they are released from hospital they do not call the police to ask for a ticket.
