Like Bookm, I would never consent to a search of my vehicle. However, I would be extremely professional about it, asking the officer what his/her reasonable cause is to feel a search of my vehicle is necessary, but still refuse to consent. .

Then I saw:
A convenience fee of $2.50 is applied to every transaction.
They should not be allowed to pass on the transaction fees to us. That is the Cities operation cost. Why do we have to pay it?
The parking ticket is already a rip off and now I have to pay MORE for the LUXURY of being able to pay online! I think that just sucks!

Do NOT reach into anywhere, do not place your stuff out in the open.
Is that something that all ODOTS would rather see? Or does it depend on the officer?
Not sure, might be more officer thoughts, area patrolled, how many stops they typically do etc....so many variables. Each stop is different.
As i said I have never ever seen anything placed ...

Why is that?
Is the documents/purse on dash the wrong move? .
I would not say the wrong move. In my time, I have never ever seen that done thou
My personal preference is just stop, let me ask for documents, then tell me they are reaching here or there to the ownership, insurance or licence.

This why there should be a new section added to the HTA for severity of this type of thing.
- leave roadway $110 and 0 points
- leave roadway causing damage $220 and 3 points
- leave roadway causing injury $325 and 6 points
It is a waste of resources (police, fire, EMS) responding to incidents where drivers can not keep their vehicle on the road.

once the outstanding fine is paid, you have to go to MTO and have your licence reinstated. Take the receipt to MTO (I can not confirm) but would think after the reinstatement fee is paid that the licence is immediately activated.
