Re: How to file an 11B
Thanks Radar Identified - but how can we fax such a large document? More-over do we not need their stamp on all other copies of the 11B? I've made 6 copies following the guidelines on this thread, but the books are so large I dont see how we could fax it or get them to stamp all our other copies.

Two minutes later he came back and asked if I had my ticket, I gave it to him and he said "I go with the last 3 digits, looks like I got the wrong book"
I was not sure what that meant, then he went on to say it is better for you, I said "I'm not sure what that means" playing dumb, this is when he tells me that he does not have his evidence and he ...

I'm afraid I didn't understand. If I choose option 3 (plead not guilty), that means I will have the chance to enter a defense at the trial, right?

I've also heard of one instance where a person was rushing his dog to the veterinary clinic. Again, ticketed at roadside, dog survived, case went to court, JP ruled "defence of necessity" and found the defendant not guilty.
I also heard about one of the cases above. However, does it have to be determined that the driver was speeding ...

Re: Speeding excuses
For example, you're on the middle lane doing 100.
You'd like to pass a truck. You change to the left lane and accelerate to 115 to pass it.
You get a ticket for 15 over 100.
What's your defense here?

I think they're pretty much backed. When I was there in a court room back in December of 2010 I saw people pleading guilty for tickets issued in July/September of 2009, that's more than 14 months.

Re: Charged for Careless Driving.. (REALLY?)
In order to have a chance of a plea-bargain you're going to have to request a date for trial, that is option 3 on the ticket (plead not guilty).
When the day comes you may get your charge reduced by the prosecutor, as per Simon's post above.
That's your only chance.

Why didn't you pull in your lane (the right lane)?
Anyway, if you feel that you didn't commit the traffic violation, then fight the ticket.
Choose option (3), plead not guilty.
Request a date for trial.

I noticed that the court is setting the dates for trial of defendants according to an officer's schedule.
In my trial session my officer was also the same for at least two other defendants.

Is there a court website I could search for the result of the courts proceeding?

So when the time came for the new session everyone lined up to speak with prosecutor.

Yeah, in that case you got a conviction and your insurance company found out.smp wrote:er, correction: not a red light CAMERA ticket
Now you'll have to wait three years.
Do some shopping upon policy renewal.

Re: Bicycle - can I reverse this ticket?
So I just got a shock from the insurance company, what would have been a rate of $180/month is now 380/month because of a red light ticket I got on my bicycle in 2009. Now, I took it to court. When I was there I specifically asked if I would get demerit points and if it would affect my insurance, the answer was no. So, they lied? I pled guilty to ...
