Re: Validation improperly affixed

oh I get it, the regulation changed i.e. the law, not what they put on the instructions

ooh let me go re-read mine

The vehicle validation sheet you get from ServiceOntario with the two stickers remains the same. It'll still give you instructions to place the one sticker on the back of the permit, and then instructions for the plate sticker on ...

Re: Validation improperly affixed

Nothing changed. It has simply been decided that failure to put the sticker on the registration does not put you in a law-breaking situation.
That's incorrect, the law actually changed a few years ago. You were actually required to affix the sticker to your permit until July of 2012.

The regulation for vehicle permits ...

Re: Red Light - Fail To Stop

exactly what Argyll says

If this is your first ticket then the insurance hit shouldn't be too extreme. Another one would be significant however.

Yes but the thing is I don't even drive much.
I'm 21 years old currently, turning 22 this year.

The whole reason my dad is paying for my insurance is because he wants it so by the time i turn 25, i ...

Re: Validation improperly affixed

did this change,

I recently got my sticker, and on the instructions is clearly states where to put the stickers, on top/right number plate and on the back of the ownership

On a side note - was the sticker placed on both the back of the ownership as well as the TOP RIGHT corner of the license plate? Those are the two places they need to be. If ...

Re: G2, 1 month from full G test, 49 over. Clarification?

a 60 over reduced to 49 over?
so you where doing 160kmph? they didnt impound the car and arrest you?

I'm less than a month away (test on April 6th) from getting my full G license, and got a speeding ticket recently. The ticket was for 49km/h over the posted limit of 100km/h on the 403 in Oakville/Halton region, but was reduced from the initial ...

Re: Driving under suspension

interesting,

again insurance will try anything to get out of a claim,
and thats also what I would have thought,

how would you "not" know that your license was suspended or expired, onus is on the driver surly, except for suspension, again how would you not know?

if you drive while disqualified, surly you are also driving with no insurance too ...

Re: Hitting lamp post and fail to report

do you not have a certain amount of time to report an accident,
as long as no-one is injured,?
UK there is not sure about here

in other words you can drive off, as long as you do report it within 24 hours

Re: HELP: Stunt Driving (117 km/hr in a 40) + Speeding sec.1

so really, if "everyone" who had a ticket , challenged it, the system would fall flat on its face

jsherk is right, they do not "have to" offer you any kind of deal, but they always do, the reason is, they do not want to deal with the possibility of you getting off on a technicality and they prefer a guaranteed win over a "most likely" win ...

Re: Parking ticket on a Green P parking lot

nice, good call

I would plead Not Guilty and request a Trial with the officer present, and then once you get the notice of trial, you can request disclosure (officers notes).

Note that the Toronto court system is pretty backed up so there is a good chance that the court date will be more than a year away and therefore you can get it stayed ...

its 3 years on the system and your insurance will want to know about it for 5, although after 3, it will be less of an issue, assuming your still clean

I see that Im pretty much screwed then. Its so ridiculous, something so small will affect your insurance by 15%. So if i pay for example this ticket right after my insurance renewal which is in ...

100% accurate, within tolerance.

To anyone familiar with the design and operation of electronic measuring equipment the situation involving radar gun testing in Ontario has always been a joke. Any device like this requires an external test against a standard to verify accuracy. A simple internal device test can verify the electronics are ...
