I remember a recent trip to alberta. 2 lane blacktop PSL of 110kmh. same in new brunswick. 401 should be 120kmh.

But im sure this debate has been brought up here before.

Leaving the scene of MVA. Whats wrong with people?

I just thought I would share....

I was leaving the billings bridge shopping plaza today, and as I approached data centre road from the lower parking lot I see a burgandy pontiac missing a front bumper and some other parts, someone was out and looking it over. Bumper and parts filled the road. To my right I see a lone woman checking out her damaged ...

Re: 10 km/h?

Glad you have a sence of humor Fyre.

But to be serious for a moment... when it comes to a collision with a pedestrian, knowing you have hurt or killed someone is something I dont want to ever have to live with. I had a close call once, scared the *EDIT* out of me. It sure makes you think.

Re: Fail to obey stop sign

From what I understand You have met requirements of stopping behind the white line. You dont need to stop again.

I guess you could ask the officer if he remembers the car in front stopping, waiting for the way to clear ect. Lead him to the conclusion that you were stopped behind the white line.

Fyrestorm, I don't agree with most of your post. I am just going to break it down a bit....

Wrong, look again. He was across the street. The man aproaching the police does not get arrested or kicked.

his shirt is already torn, indicating perhaps he's already been in one ...

So now that it is a "red light-fail to stop" ticket, what will the prosecutor reduce it to now?

Instead of mounting the camera to the ceiling of the ca,r have a tripod on the floor of the rear seats. Just find a way to fasten the tripod to the floor so it doesn't become a projectile if you crash.

Re: Disobey sign H.T.A 182(2) -- Officer bluffing?

Sorry if i spoke too soon. I thought Toronto was "bilingual". RI knows his stuff. You should be fine with the obstructed sign defence. And even so You may never have to use it if they delay your trial and/or do not give you your disclosure.

Read the ticket combat website. Its VERY informative.

Thanks guys.

Firestart: I just mentioned what I saw including observing the police make the turn. Just saying.

RI: thanks for the direct quote. What section did that come from? Exceptions to red light?

Left on red?

Hey everybody. I have a question. There is a street nearby that is a one way street going west. It intersects with a one way street going south. This intersection has traffic lights. When the light is red many people will turn left on red just like you would right on red. While waiting for the green light I have even seen a police car do it. Is it ...

Re: Disobey sign H.T.A 182(2) -- Officer bluffing?

If there is a problem in a certain area, like if many people turn left ilegally where it is against the law to do so, I don't fault the police for standing by and ticketing any offenders they see. That being said, in this case if the sign is obstructed or damaged and the police still try to enforce the rule, I think its wrong. Regardless you got ...

Re: Careless driving, no accident, no injury, no racing etc.

Well first off you should never admit to anything, ever. "I don't know" is a good answer to what ever they ask. admiting you were going fast will now be used against you, even if he wasn't using radar as you said.

Secondly when the cop doesn't show up to court ask the JP to throw out the charges. They are the only witness saying you did anything ...

Re: Ticket missing information

Judging from previous posts I dont think so. I dont think the cop needs to be overly specific on the ticket. Thats what disclosure is for.
