If there's no painted lines on the road, I would say it falls under 148 (1) "Every person in charge of a vehicle on a highway meeting another vehicle shall turn out to the right from the centre of the roadway, allowing the other vehicle one-half of the roadway free."
I would have laid the ticket for that (or careless) to the person who wasn't ...

Re: Side mirror collision on road with parked cars on one side
It depends on where you both were in your lane in relation to the center line when the collision happened.

Re: Can I fight a seat belt ticket?
You don't have to have it on if the vehicle is pulled over at the side of the road. You don't need to worry about a seat belt ticket affecting you too negatively during the police application process. It's very minor in the grand scheme of things. Just make sure to disclose it and be honest.

I did after he gave my ticket ($325), and he said me to just put 'not guilty' on the back and send it, and that he didn't have intention to fight against me for this ticket :?

Re: Ticket for 65 in a 50 zone...
Unfortunately for you, there is no way to accept responsibility for the ticket without having it on your record. People who accept responsibility for their actions with an early guilty plea often receive a reduced fine or the opportunity to plea the offence down, but it doesn't sound like those options work for your situation.

Re: Guilty in absentia... how do I pay?
It is the same as the total payable. You can pay it online at http://www.paytickets.ca/ or go to the court house and take care of it in person or mail the payment in. Online is the easiest. In person is the best since you can guarantee that it was received and processed on the spot.

Re: Roll Cages & Helmets?
Two stupid sounding questions. ***Not stupid if you've already done some research yourself. Sometimes answers aren't easy to find.*** #1 It is illegal to drive a car on the street equipped with a roll cage? ***No*** #2 Is it illegal to drive a car while wearing a helmet? ***No*** Open face or full face, or does it matter? Both questions apply to a ...

You don't have to be there at all if you hire a paralegal. Your chances...depends on the evidence the officer is going to present. If he is going to say that the arm was out and the light was flashing...probably not good.

Well, I wouldn't recommend trying to keep it form your parents, but it usually doesn't show up on your annual statement of renewal. That being said, if your parents get a big hike next year and call to find out why, they'll be told why.

Re: Red Light Camera Ticket
Hello Everyone,
I received a red light traffic camera ticket for $320. As shown in the pictures below, I clearly failed to stop at the red light. I have a few questions for you:
1) Given that the ticket is in the name of my mother (owner of the car), can I still fight it since I was driving or does she have to?

Also, What are the consequences that follow impersonating a police officer?
Not good! It's a Criminal Code offence, not a traffic matter. You might want to check out my blog post about lighting issues.

Re: Old fine ?: 32(1) Driving without a licence/improper licence
No one can speak to your insurance policy directly except your insurance company, so if you want to know for certain you'll have to ask them. However, the answer is probably yes. I understand the circumstances...you took care of your suspension but didn't pay the $150 reinstatement fee with the MTO to get your licence valid again. It's only an ...
