Re: Bad Drivers?
I don't complain when an officer is speeding... right on the limit though that's just wrong.....however I did see one of the "ambassadors" reverse on the shoulder of the 407 a few weeks ago.....no lights..... that's not good....had he had lights on to reverse to the turn around I wouldn't have given it a second thought.... and no I didn't call it ...

Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers
There have been many murder convictions without the actual "knife/gun" being located with all the evidence to support the charge. So back to my original, do not need to find the SMWD to support the charge and there is lots of evidence to be had.
(ie: I stopped behind a coworker, walked up to one car with the officer, it was at night, looked as ...

$294+Victim surcharge of 25%= $371.25......
I could be off with the victim surcharge.....
It's a hefty fine and could effect your insurance, paralegals can help, some will only go and plea down, other have arguing abilities....

Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers
Just b/c one can not find a SMWD on a search does not mean that a ticket can not be issued.
Tickets without evidence.....sounds good to me....We can call it Section 172.2
guilt by shifty eyes...... thats a stretch and you know it 'bear
Actually http://www.wheels.ca/article/167046
We have no evidence..... Pretty sure we all could write to Jim ...

Re: Which section of traffic act?
Hi guys
Can someone clarify for me, are the rules governing licence plate positioning found in Section 7(1)(5)(i) of the Highway Traffic Act? It doesnt appear to be, based on what I see on this website.
If anyone could clarify, it'd be much appreciated.
thnx,
Make sure it can be seen and not hidden by the grill, windshield glare etc. If it ...

Re: 110 in a 80km while passing?
My wife struggled to believe me when I said three cars WILL fit side-by-side on most two-lane highways. In an emergency, three competent drivers could easily avoid a head-on collision if they realized this important fact.
Back in my young and bullet proof days I saw that happen, but it was three car in the same direction........now where is that ...

Re: 110 in a 80km while passing?
It would depend on which radar unit the officer had and what mode it was in
Correct me if I'm wrong but newer units have a "fastest" speed mode where it will display the fastest reading.....
However if the unit reads and displays all speeds and there was more then 2 cars on the road the information would then be null and void........

Re: Following too closely
I was coming to a stop, because the cars ahead of me were stopped at a stop light. Unfortunately for me, I was wearing footwear, that I was not used to driving in, and when I stepped on the brake to stop, my boot was also pressing the gas pedal, and I bumped into the car ahead of me. There was no damage to either vehicle, but the person driving ...

Re: Fog lights, amirite?
The ones on the grand am only turned on when A: In reverse and B: Had the fogs on, i.e. headlights on. They were extra on top of the reverse lights, down on the rear bumper. There is no need for those unless you are in reverse......
