Re: 117 in a 90

I definitely see why young males especially, have huge insurance bills, I can't think of one guy I know, who has their G2, who hasn't gone ridiculous speeds on a road where they knew there wouldn't be a cop. For my ticket I was late for a lesson with my golf coach, and was going too fast in an effort to make it on time. Looking back I feel really ...

I don't know, I think you can call me a nerd. Let's see some examples:

Nerdy but rich.

Not so nerdy, not as rich.

Re: Cop suspended with Pay, HTA 172

We are trained from day one at OPC in PVO (police vehicle operations). Multi tasking is pretty much the whole course. Maintaining control of the car (skids, braking, turning, speeds), rules of the road, radio, lights, etc.

Once a recruit comes out, they are then placed with a coach officer for further in depth multi-tasking issues radio, phones ...

The problem is you did do 102 and that is "technically" against the law. I think if you had passed at say 90-95 KMH we wouldn't be talking to you. Unfortunately, you still got the raw end of the deal.

but nowhere on the ticket does it say anything about points and the officer didn't mention anything about it.

Does not have to.

Also, it's worth noting that the officer did not write my address correctly on the ticket.

This can be fixed in court.

A block is a fair distance, you could try that angle.....However, with what you already wrote ...

Do we really need signs that say "slippery when wet" or "Bridge ahead?" I mean, come on.

I would tend to think that the "sign for everything" mentality comes from the good ol' USA. Where you can be sued just cuz. My last trip down there every bridge had a "bridge freezes before road" sign. Of course, in the same area they had 2 inches of snow ...

The wording is that as long as you, the defendant, are not the cause of the delay's, you have the right to a speedy trial. That being said some area's have their own definition of what is speedy. The best you can do is file the form 4F, 15 days before the next trial date , and see what the JP thinks.
