I have a question related to this. Charge is 39 over the limit.
Officer on bridge notes say he clocked a Gry "my kind of car"
5k later officer who pulled me over notes he pulled over a Tan "my kind of car"
My car is Tan.
Trial is mid August.
If they both show up should I put all of my eggs in this basket?
Friends are saying to hope for and ...

I mean to say, officers don't need a BS excuse, why make it up?La Squish wrote:"I pulled you over because your signal was flashing too fast and I wanted to make sure you didn't have a blown signal bulb" would be sufficient, no? Few extra words = happy JP?

Re: Cop Shades
Police officer all seem to wear Sunglasses.
Are these offical parts of there uniform? Or are there shades more of a "cop culture" thing?
If it's a culture thing are there any regulations around which ones they can use, since they all seem to use a similiar style?
Have you ever used polarized shades? World of difference when you can remove ...

Re: plaincloths officer stopped me for not checking
I have heard of cases where the officer says " I pulled you over because your signal was flashing too fast" or similar and the JP tosses the case. Why officers don't just say they were checking documents is beyond me.admin wrote:Technically, you can be pulled over to see if your paper work is in order.

Re: failing to signal
Yes, you have to signal everything. Is it going to hurt to push the lever up?dhart99 wrote:Question is , do you have to signal if no traffic is in the area, the cop was parked a 1/2 block up the street
. I was told that HTA says that signaling is only required if it can effect other drivers

Re: plaincloths officer stopped me for not checking
As a female, this concerns me. I would not stop for an unmarked (as in Jeep, for instance) plainclothed *individual* attempting to pull me over. I would use a cellphone to call 911 or go to the nearest populated area or police station for my own safety. If I cannot readily identify that the person attempting to pull me over is a police officer, I ...

Re: Disclosure request content
Two recordable request is good?
I've only sent in one by registered mail. So I guess I'll send in a second letter.
btw, I didn't request anything in my first attempt... i was at the office of the prosecuter but was turned away.
I haven't gotten any response yet and it's past my diary date. I'm planning on sending in another disclosure ...

Re: Police Abuse Highway 401
Just a reminder that this is a traffic ticket forum. Unfortunately there are some bad apples out there and they always speak louder then the rest. We do strive to keep discussion here as fair as possible. My advise to you is to seek legal, lawyer, representation and try to avoid posting topics with "Police Abuse" as a title. Thank you.
