Re: speeding 15 and under

If you go to trial, request a "Disobey Sign" from the prosocuter. I think it's $90 but it's not the speeding and I think no points. Correct me if I'm wrong you regulars.

Re: 79 in 50 zone

Costs are already included on your ticket. Going to court will only cost you your time, you are already charged the full amount.
There is a separate fine schedule for going to trial. I'm not sure of where you can find it.

Make the punishment fit the crime and I'll be back on board 100% supporting law enforcements efforts to promote traffic safety. ie Keep Right, Use you Signals well in advance, Leave plenty of Following Distance, and Get off the Phone Lady.

My licence number was recorded wrong and still it was attributed to me. The courts can cross reference your name, address, licence plate and figure out who is accused.

Yet another reason to be nice to officers on the side of the road. No arguement is valid roadside. Just answer the questions, smile and when you get your licence back, drive away.

Comments are bad unless you know a good donut joke........ :D , or have a Tim's for the officer.... :D :D

Re: If I dont get disclosure

If I dont get anything in the mail for disclosure, what exactly do I say when I get to court (obviously want it thrown out)

If this is the case, just tell the JP your story. You don't need to get too technical, just that you have asked for and not received disclosure. It's either a stay of proceedings or case dismissed, can't remember.

If I do ...

If you want to file the paperwork in Markham, you can. However like 'bear said the trial, and all other official proceedings, will take place in the juristiction where the "offence" took place.

Re: Signalling for speed trap

There is nothing Illegal about warning other drivers about speed traps. If the officer wants to get into the whole "interfering with police"...etc, it's a long road for him. I personally don't warn people, if you're dumb enough not to see the officer in his big bright car then you should probably be paying more attention to the road anyway. Thats ...

The prosocution needs both officers to testify, otherwise it becomes hearsay evidence. Fight this one, it can be easily beaten.

The crown is the crown and you don't have any clue until you talk to them. You might get lucky and get 29 over. 1 less point but the fine per KM also drops.

Take option 3 then try a plea before the trial. The prosocuter can ammend the charges.

As far as witnesses go, the officer came to all the conclusions on his own. He didn't use the other officers input.

I would think most racers, real that is, have a better sense of others intentions. I would also like to think that they would learn a little more car control, as well as avoidance techniques, the list goes on.

And personally I like Tostito's with the cheese sauce....mmmmmmmm cheese sauce.

Re: Got a Ticket for 43 over

When was the other ticket????

Request a trial and wait for the notice in the mail. In the mean time complete your full G licence and all should be good. Don't worry about first attendance. Go to court on the date on the notice. Be there early, half an hour should do. Don't go in wearing shorts and a T-shirt. Business casual should do. The ...

I would personally love to have a private track where I could push a car to it's limits. Just wondering if anyone else would like the same. Informal poll and leave out the issues with insurance.
