Re: 5 Disclosure Requests Unanswered
you have already sent 5 requests, so as long as you have the transmission recipits, registered mail recipits then don't make anymore requests. The crown may forget again. If they do make sure your motion gets heard next time and your ticket is gone. That is just my opinion though.

I enjoyed that.
You won based on two things, being persistant and playing "their" game. Good job.

Well, the 2 that you mentioned are not to be sneezed at. Legal representation is a must here. Due to the lack of injuries he might get off lighter. Those will more then likely be the 2 charges he faces.
Hopefully, he learns from this....................

Due to the seriousness of this charge, I personally would seek legal representation. There is a form at the bottom of the page that will link you to a paralegal. Good luck.

I requested Option 3 on both...when or how do i request a meeting with the crown? when i get the notice of date and time or before that? I was told in five months i would get the date / time.

1.7 KM distance?????? Does the Laser Atlanta have that as a working range?<----------- Find out
Found, Laser Atlanta Speed Laser "S" and "R"
http://www.davtech.ca/uploads/Speedlaser%20R.pdf
2.133 km.....wow......
I've seen a Laser Atlanta pick up a target as far out as 4.7km
At 4.7 km's though, at least the reading won't count in court.

"There are some differences in the testing of one lidar unit to the next, though it's not night and day. After an officer has been trained on one lidar unit, they're qualified to use all lidar units."
Last time I heard, training was specific for each unit...... unless this changed.

"spelled the name of my street wrong."
That won't get your ticket tossed. Just talk to the crown try to find a middle ground. The obs view will probably get tossed without even asking, and then request a lower speed with a guilty plea. Could be that easy. All depends on the crown.

Well, this was 6 hours from your home so, I would hire a paralegal. 35 over is close to $280 ish and my have a big impact on your insurance. I think the costs would be about the same. However, if you would like an accurate quote you can fill out the form at the bottom of each page. I wish you luck.

Just for clarity, As long as do not drive AROUND the "Road Closed" barrier, you should be ok.

You will have to be very clear when you explain this in court. Take that image and blow it up, plus take some pictures, file for disclosure(cover your a$$) and away you go. I would definitely work on your wording ahead of time. Good luck.

Personally, that obstructed view ticket is a non-issue.... if they won't just drop it ask if the officer was ever sitting in the drivers seat....ticket dismissed. I agree with Simon thou, you can never guarentee what offer may come up.

If you only had a verbal with the officer then there is no proof of anything. Send a fax, keep the transmission receipt, to cover your bases, then you have an arguement.

In court, as long as the notes used by the officer are the ones given to the defendant then all good.OPS Copper wrote:They are typed on the computer into the note section of the ticketing software. Unless something goes awry there is no more hand written notes for most traffic stops.
They are generated by hitting the print function.
