Are police officers allowed to just drive around with their radar on
Some do all the time
It seems impossible to estimate and then take reading travelling at night in the opposite direction.
You would be correct, how are you going to prove it?
Also a quick question, I really want to go through court transcripts for simmilar cases, how can I ...

Re: Ridiculous Insecure Load Ticket
the key word is "may" in the section
I think the wording should be "likely". If straps were used to hold down the load the the vehicle operator has performed his dudilegence.....If the officer wants he can follow a gravel truck and count the "tings" as the rocks bounce off the cruiser. Were the items in the truck larger and easily held down???

If the line up is that long, park your car and go inside, probably faster anyway.

Re: People are Driving Faster
I have to agree with bear here. We should make driver training part of high school. Take the current structure, add a year and put in 1 full year of driver training. Not just how to park either, skid control, emergency stopping...the whole shooting match.....what do ya think

A police officer can enforce the laws anywhere in the Province of Ontario.

They are "peace officers" anywhere in Canada so they can enforce any "federal" statute. The hiccup comes when there is a need to enforce a provincial statute such as HTA ...
