Silly police man. It's what marks the start and finish of a race! Haven't you ever seen those white lines painted on the road by the locals of rural hick towns??

Example: (see white line?)

Re: O.P.P criuser impounded under 172

I have considered before that supermarket cart etiquette could very well be a reflection of a person's driving etiquette.

X2 big time! That almost became an issue on CWD. While being interviewed I said, "It's likely the women who can't maneuver a cart around a store can't drive a car worth a *EDIT* either." They then tried to get me to say I ...

Re: O.P.P criuser impounded under 172

Thanks Squishy. I was afraid someone might ask me to find that (dang BEAR!), and I had no idea where I read it, LOL.

You ever notice that some people have no problem completely blocking the isle with their cart at the local supermarket, while they wander around looking for that special brand of bathroom spray they like so much? Well I'm the type ...

Re: O.P.P criuser impounded under 172

If a car is stopped and waiting to turn left (or appears to be preparing to turn left), you CAN go around him on the right if you can stay on the paved portion of the road, whether there are lines painted there or not. Drive on gravel and your busted.

The HTA instructs drivers to stay tight to the left portion of his lane (obvious intent is so ...

Re: Mounting plates

The odd thing about this section is it says "carries or contains" a speed warning device. But most cops say it's OK to carry it in the trunk, say, if an American visits Ontario with one. I see no provision in the statute which would allow one to transport it in the trunk.

Re: O.P.P criuser impounded under 172

I know Drivers Ed still teaches kids not to pass on the right, but it's actually quite legal and necessary due to left-lane slugs. I think passing on the right is illegal on the German Autobahn though (could be wrong).

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I see a marked cruiser driving at "sensible" speed. It shows me that some out ...

Summer car is out now (1st week, lol).

At a bit of a disadvantage here because I'm not anonymous, but I'll see what I can do and follow up some day ;)

... Maybe your 30-year driving anniversary coincides with old age and deteriorating reaction time and senses.

No doubt about that! LOL. I've adjusted my speed and following distances to suite.

... Maybe Fantino doesn't focus on the right issues, but at least he's keeping driving safety as a whole in the minds of the public.

AGREED! Now that ...

Re: Driver clocked at 250 km/h

I just identified a basic problem with police mentality!! They seam to believe ALL brains are alike and perform the same under the same set of circumstances. Through genetic variation, some minds react MUCH more effectively to unexpected circumstances, than others.

Painting all drivers with one broad brush is a mistake many in law enforcement make ...
