I turned right on a red light at a T intersection. I thought I was going to make the amber, which I didn't. Light turned red as I started making the turn. If the conditions are bad, you are required to drive accordingly. Amber lights are also not something to "make". You can't just go around blowing through amber lights either [Fail To Stop - 144(15) Amber Light]. Whether or not there were no pedestrians or cars is going to be irrelevant. Going through a red light is an absolute liability offense. All they need to prove is whether you went through the red or not. It's either "yes" or "no". Everything else is irrelevant. All you'd be doing is sealing your own fate as you're admitting to the fact. You're going to have to rely on a different approach or hope for some sort of deal.

I got ticket for failing to stop at stop sign in Toronto. i heard that the police officer must see the stop line, if there is one, from where he was sitting. Doesn't 1361b mean failure to yield?
