Re: Following too close alternate charge?

I wanna hear what others thing about what R.I said.

Alot of these charges in the OHTA are subject to alot of discression.

With Lidar and Radar you get a reading okay.

But alot of other stuff can be very hard to prove.

How do they prove for example many lange changes, unsafe lane change, and especially following to close.

So lets say your on ...

Re: JP rules - HTA172 violates the charter

Sorry to ask a redundant question but what is actually going on about this.

I have read a few articles and now seen cases where people won because of this issue with the road side trial.

So is it basically any time lawyers are going to take this to the crown or supreme court and if they rule the road side trial (impoundment for speeding) is ...

Man what did Fantino say.

He must have said let's tar and feather this guy and he is crazy and raising the limit to 110 is going to cause so many more deaths every year.

I mean all those Germans with no limits on their autobahn, Many other europeans with posted limits of 120-130, the other canadian provinces with max limits of 110, and those ...

Well it goes to show how reckless some people are and they just don't care.

IMO the fine should be more, he already had a stunt driving conviction + No insurance (sint that a maximum of 5k), + suspended license?

I thought the fine for 50 over was already a max of 2000.

Good point. So another driver has to make a couple of lane-changes to get around a couple of these inconsiderate f-words and all of a sudden he's a "street racer." What a way to treat the result instead of treating the cause.

What is this move right nonsense.

Its so simple.

If your on the 401 and there is a km of cars backed up behind you and all the road infront of you is wide open.....

ding! you are the problem, move over, you are holding up the flow of traffic.

The same goes for all those trucks in the middle.

If every single vehicle behind you is going ...

Must be like everything you can find that is AGAINST the law in the OHTA.

I would love to sit in this plane on the July 1st weekend for the whole trip up to barrie and back to watch the madness.

Well Radar Identified we forgot one thing.

I heard the OPP will call in the Air Force in case someone robbed a tim horton's or stole all their doughnuts.

In that case you would close off the whole highway and call in the Air Force but i doubt anyone would try to hold up a tim hortons off of a 400 series highway.

Correct but i was referring to using the law in general for other things it has and not just using 172 for 50 over.

Using 172 would not make a difference whether or not it included impoundment on the stop.

I was just saying if this law was not so "bold" or extreme to impound your vehicle officers may begin to use this law for other things as i ...

403 - Upper Middle Rd / QEW Over Pass

This is a hard location to explain.

As the QEW (east bound) turns into the 403 you take a overpass that goes under upper middle rd onto the 403.

The overpass comes under upper middle rd and as you begin to head north on the 403 right at the start there is a small hill on the right.

There is an on ramp here from Upper Middle rd and an Officer in ...

401 - Exit 286 near Cambridge
Concrete overpass Townline rd overpass.

Officer will sit under the overpass on concrete usually facing the oncoming traffic, radar/lidar marked / unmarked cars have been spotted here.

403 - Between Mavis & Erin Mills pkwy

Marked Cruiser, radar, hides under bridge in westbound lanes.

At very bottom of hill they're is a massive concrete overpass for train tracks i believe. This overpass is not a road however so be careful there is no exit here.

He faces west as well targeting cars as they pass (aiming for your rear).

Mississauga OPP HSD detachment patrols this hwy.

Interesting with the lights.

We had a discussion about HID's before.

All i think was said was headlights must emit white light.

I guess it depends on the officer but some of those people with weird color lights (purple, pure yellow, green, etc) are very annoying and distracting.

Or those that use HID's in a reflector system!

Well someone going that speed on the 401 really should not be on it and should have taken another road. I would just drive by what can you. You could call *OPP but i would only call that for very dangerous situations. Sometimes i will just flash my lights but they get mad.
