You paralegal is probably right, as in your case there is not only fact that you were speeding 49 over but also your having a G1 license, which will complicate things over for you. Good luck fighting it.

Fines are not our business. Fighting them is.ticketcombat wrote:I like the OCJ layout because it is easy to read the speeding fines.
Then, according to the fine system we have posted and hwybear's input, the fine is $280 in per-kilometre, plus $15 = $295 as per hwybear. What would be the case of a $10 surcharge? The surcharge starts at $10

I cannot stand people who make a stop on the right lane (especially/mostly in downtown Toronto, where there are a lot of busy 2-lane streets), and get off the car to go somewhere, or just park there and wait to pick someone up or something, and in turn congest the whole street, as if it's his own driveway.

The fine will be (approx) 40 km/h * 7 $/(km/h) = $280 + court fees (yes, they are included), so you are looking at about $350
Your G licensed driver should be OK - after all, YOU were the one speeding, he did not press the gas pedal.

Re: Right/Left Turn Help
Well, just to make it nice and easy for you, your speed should be <20 km/h for a right turn and <30 km/h for the left one. Practice with your family member who had had a "G" license for 4+ years, just doing turns. And to make a full right turn you need to (usually, depending on a car model) turn your steering wheel about 3/4 of a turn to the right ...

Yeah, they can, if you have enough of them. Hybrid technology used today can easily be re-used in the full-electric or electric/gas hybrid, and save you battery life. And cooling your car takes far more energy (gasoline car's fuel consumption usually goes up 30% with AC on ...

Why the charge is 5 points
Driving through a railway crossing without stopping and looking both ways to ensure no train is coming is considered to endanger the life of the passengers. This is why it is such a serious offense. However, a two-strike policy is in effect, as a bus driver is legally not allowed to drive a bus in employ of a public office when he or she has 6 or ...

A cop pulls over an elderly woman for speeding. Looking at the license, he realized that that was his former teacher. As the cop was writing out the ticket, he told her "and now, Mrs. Edna Krabappel, pull out the pen and paper and write "I will not disobey traffic rules" 100 times"!

Ok, so here is a no-fault sequence of events (I assume 2 vehicles in front of you)
1-st vehicle comes to a complete stop before the crosswalk line (I assume there is one there), then turns right.
All other vehicles advance, 2-nd vehicle stops, then turns right.
Your vehicle advances to the intersection, STOPS COMPLETELY, then turns right.
And so ...
