It may be too late for it this time as my court date is early this coming week. Can I do this the day of the court date?
The court date was within 6 months of the offence so the 11B is not an option. first attendance ...

MTO's HOV Lanes: more lanes + speed
I recently spoke to a friend who did a co-op term working with Traffic Engineers at the MTO, and according to him there are proposals to not only increase the number of HOV lanes (Collector + Express) but also to increase the limit in HOV lanes to 120; all of this to encourage motorists to take advantage of car-pooling lots and green-plated ...

... Take it to trial.
They may bargain to reduce the ticket by $40 or so, but if you take it to trial the cop may not show up and you are completely off.
Clog the courts with trials and don't be intimidated by the prosecutor or JP telling you otherwise.
Send someone in the first time to say you cannot make it and wish to reschedule.

Re: Ever wonder why Police don't ticket Left-Lane Hogers?
i too feel that maximum posted signs are completely useless, if your given this arbitrary +20 buffer
what's the point?
i feel that either drivers should have their vehicles scrapped + drivers license taken away for life for driving even 1 above a posted maximum ... or... not enforce it whatsoever, and let people choose to kill themselves in their ...

i wonder ... if your pulled over for in the future, if it would still be considered a strict liability offense and if you can still argue that the headlights were working before you start driving

Re: How to file an 11B
I ended up including both tickets in one book and included R v. Andrade, but accidentally put the wrong date the offense was conducted in the first page (Notice of Application): instead of 2010 i put 2011; the sworn statement and ofc the ticket and trial notice have the right date.. hopefully that doesn`t screw up the application

Re: How to file an 11B
thanks for posting the screenshot, because I didn't have that part in my tempate.
Also, I got two tickets at the same time and I had one courtdate for both charges.
Do I have to do all the paperwork for each ticket? i have the exact same question
can both tickets be included in the same form?

Re: Parking in a Fire Route
i would suggest speaking to a prosecutor prior going to trial, and explain exactly what you were doing
bring the disability pass and if health permits, your father as well
it seems you may not have been in the wrong after all

Re: Parking in a Fire Route
you would have to read the city's by-law, but afaik you are allowed to unload or load passengers/goods whilst parked in designated fire routes
however, even if your fiance was inside the vehicle with engine and hazard lights on; the ticket would still be very much valid
in the future if you do see a MLEO writing a ticket for your vehicle, you ...
