Yes flashing blue is prohibited and a ticket could be issued. I would issue that offence, and consider an arrest for impersonating a police officer

none of the farm exemptions apply when you have 4 axles or more (truck has 2 axles, add trailer, horse trailers typically are 2 axles = 4 axle combination)Julio wrote:For the other charge, I think you already have a farmer's plate right?

sounds like as soon as you added the trailer it now fits into the CMV category (commercial motor vehicle), thus without annual safeties on both truck and trailer, the plates can be seized and vehicle towed to compound. Further requires proper licencing which, pending what weight the combination is might require a D or A, would not enable a G ...

Thanks bend. The parked police car did not even have the red-light, red-blue light flashing on top and it was clearly not an emergency situation. The officer simply decided to endanger passing vehicles by opening his door without checking if it is clear.

Re: How police normally responds to 911 calls
if the person was driving dangerously and they were stopped police would need a witness statement from your friend. Typically the police would drive to the person's house or have them come to the detachment/station to provide a written statement. Having said that, if the friend is not from the area of where it was reported, the police might call by ...

There is no documentation of the training, other than would be in a notebook on whatever date and would be very minimal (ie: radar training and for some of us "radar instructing") and that is it. I do not know any officer that would jeopardize credibility by not being current in training.

2 & 3 are one and the same, officer has to be a trained radar operator. The operator has to have received training from a radar instructor, and to have been requalified as an operator within the past 2 years.

Okay. So what is the polite way to say "I do not consent to give you permission to search me or my vehicle."?
The answer is. Do you have a search warrant?
If not. say no you cannot.
Cheers

1) an Act with search authorities (LLA, HTA, FWCA etc...

all roads inside the provincial park are subject to all HTA rules. only place that is not is once directly on your assigned campsite.
on similiar note, did a RIDE inside a park this weekend, and issued bicycle helmet offence, 6 other helmet warnings, 20+ seatbelt warnings, 1 3day licence suspension

Not only a delay to their response, the EMS has the full "tools of the trade" on board for the medical situation.
