Re: Driving while under suspension [Unusual situation]

The previous record on the Ontario Licence (being suspended) trumps all other licences a person might have outside of Ontario. You say you paid off the fine, now go to the MTO and check the Ontario Licence status, even thou it is well expired, there still could be an outstanding reinstatement fee. Once this fee is paid it will remove the "suspended ...

I have yet to see this "exemption" you speak of .....if you can put a link to the section for all members, exemptions under the HTA 128 (speeding) is for emergency vehicles and HTA OREG 455/07 (stunt regulation) is for emergency vehicles

Re: Seat Belt Infraction

Has there been any new revisions in the seat belt exemptions. It stated in the letter, that I was given a ticket for not wearing a seat belt in relation to section 106(2) of the HTA. I think that just means that I was not wearing a seat belt according to that ruling. I think it is still probable that it might get appealed

Re: POLICIE stickers on my old VW Jetta

A VW with POLICIE on it shouldnt be mistaken for a police car. First of all it looks nothing like a police car. Second Czech isn't one of the official languages in Canada. If it was a real police car it would have POLICE written on it in English or French (an official language of the land)

could easily be mistaken for a cruiser, what does a ...

Re: 51 over, speed measured via aircraft

A stopwatch IS USED in the aircraft. The stopwatch does the calculation and shows the officer the speed. The stopwatch is tested by 2 means:
- obtaining a speed of a cruiser going thru the "zone" and then confirming the speed on watch vs cruiser
- there is a "800" number that is called which tells time (I don't know the number off hand), however ...

I would rather see the move/merge over 2km before and see them "fidgetting waiting" than the 200m and less lane cutters from left to right across 3 lanes and just going across the "bullnose" area of the ramp!

Re: 51 over, speed measured via aircraft

Its called the stop watch method. You calculate the time it takes to travel a known distance, and then that figure is punched into a calculation.

The speed obtained is the average speed over that time.

The formla is

S (speed). = D (distance)
__________ (divided)
T. ( time)

I know it doesnt answer your question but hope it helps
