Re: Left turn - wrong charge
Don't think your suggestion of turn not in safety is applicable, but rather fail to yield to traffic on a thru highway.

Re: improper right turn
If I understand this correctly:
- NB on Don Mills and in right lane
- made right turn (EB) onto Eglinton
- did not enter closest right lane, but one lane over
Refer you to HTA 141(2)
Right turn at intersection
(2) Where a driver or operator of a vehicle intends to turn to the right into an intersecting highway, he or she shall, where the highway ...

Re: Open Alcohol In Car
other than a fail to surrender charge, open liquor is very easy offence to prove in court. Located a open 341ml bottle of Coors Light. I observed 1cm depth of beer in bottle.
No demerit points for a LLA offence.

For clarification to others it is not the Ontario Insurance Act as that does not exist. It is the "Insurance Act".
The Act you mention is used ONLY by Insurance companies to determine fault.

Testing time and not mentioning the word "road" is insignificant. The road test is part of the complete testing procedure.
I personally indicate test time and that is it. (ie: 0713 Gen test ok).

What has to be viewed here is your conduct. Was it reasonable? Would a reasonable and prudent person done the same?
Absolutely...I saw a whole group of cars swerve off the road yesterday, go over a sidewalk, across a lawn to miss a squirrel

To enable others members to assist you, they will need more info.
What is on the ticket (offence and section)
Describe the area of the offence better. How many lanes NB and which lane you were in. Then how many lanes EB and which lane you were in.

Re: Wrong speed limit
And as much as the the youtube videos may have a camera in the lens, it still shows that the errors are possible. It still comes down to the officers training and ability to identify when an error is occuring.
of course there are errors with the cameras being used....simply the unit is not being used properly. When used properly I have never had ...

Re: Wrong speed limit
panning/sweeping - I have never seen these types of errors. Yes, I have seen many a youtube video showing the errors, but they all have the same common denominator = lidar not being used properly. Plus they seem to all have a camera looking thru the eyepiece, so then the person is not using their eye for proper focusing onto the target....wonder ...

If you are referring to Ontario Ministry of Transportation in relation to an Ontario Driver's licence, this might be somewhat of use, although I can not find a link at this precise moment.

Re: Speeding ticket caught on radar, challenge in court?
I used a Ticket Combat Disclosure template which explicitly asks for a typed version. .
Last I looked the template was a generic guideline for all offences, so it is not the end all be all of disclosure requests.
Those officer notes you posted are quite clear and easy to read. Was able to read every word.

. The overpass where he had a tripod setup was about 400 m away (google maps). This alone questions the accuracy of the device, but I'm not sure how to submit this as fact.
Sounds like lidar which is target specific and very accurate. Would only be a beam width of 1.2m at 400m. Most vehicles are about 1.7m -2.0m wide, lane is 3.75m wide. Even at ...

Re: OOPS! Anyone beat a cell phone ticket yet?
I paid $79 for my bluetooth at future shop. All I had to do was "sync" the phone to the device. Easy to use, phone rings, press one button and talk. Same to dial...press same one button, say "call" and the number.
