Re: Red light camera photographs

Since there is no demerit points to the owner the fine should be much higher (around $500). Intersection "T-bone" collisions are one of the most severe collisions that can happen.

50km/hr = 13.89m/sec = stopping distance of 14.05m = 1 second to stop
60km/hr = 16.68m/sec = stopping distance of 20.23m = 1.2 second to stop

Intersection: 8m wide ...

Re: improper right turn

If there the claim is that the lane is not marked properly on the right turn.....the reasoning would then default into keeping immediately to the left of the right curb (in other words, turn must be kept as close as possible to curb)

Re: Pull over to throw up, got ticket for parking in Fire Route

- pulling over as sick and to change drivers *good thing*
- you stop and get out, but fiancee doesn't get out as original intention, she doesn't watch where your going when you exit....BUT instead decides to start taking pictures out the window of a bylaw officer, just in case he comes over? - that doesn't pass the smell test

The picture was ...

Re: Pull over to throw up, got ticket for parking in Fire Ro

put my 4-ways on and my fiancee and I were gonna switch spots so she could drive. As I got out of the car, I couldn't hold it in anymore and hopped into the back seat
My fiancee was worried and turned her body towards the back seat to see if I was ok. Here is what we did for evidence:
My fiancee actually grabbed her digital camera to take a ...

Re: Open Alcohol In Car

Do you not need to produce the evidence?

They said it was 1/4 bottle, how would the officer preserve the evidence?
Or even to prove it is beer?(it might smell different after 5-6 months)

Do they bring the bottle to court?

From what has been said so far it sounds as if verbal word convicts?

Even I'm baffled on this one. I don't know how you obtain a turn offence when going straight.
Is there more to this (ie: witness statements)?

Re: A new study suggests alcohol is more harmful than heroin!

I think you will find that alcohol rated that high due to access to it. .
agreed

Then can get into what they want the study to show. Rather than ask people (although experts) to rank them. It might be that these experts see people with addictions, with alcohol being the most dominant case that they see, not necessarily the most devastating.

Re: Food Delivery Trucks Exempt?

Delivery trucks must follow all applicable laws of the HTA.

The parking on streets situation falls into applicable bylaws for your city/town.

All cities/towns usually have an exemption in the "no truck" zones for deliveries on the most direct route to the business and back out.

I know some smaller places where I live put out pylons, as they ...

Also, Just wondering where in Ontario do you find wild Bison roaming?

You won't, however, you will find black bears, moose, and very large deer. Saw all kinds of wildlife around Thunder Bay, including all of the above. And, it goes without saying, many of us will also drive outside Ontario where we could encounter bison. (Prairies, Plains States ...
