Re: Threatened with racing charges

. He said if we pay the tickets in a short time everything will be good, but if we take it to court he will be asking the crown to charge us with Racing. He did also mention that he only had me clocked at 88km/h and had to catch up to us to get a reading on his radar gun. Any advice on what he can really do, or on how to continue with this.

I do ...

Stop being SASSY, Bear :D
Sorry, I'll go back to the honey jar and get some sweetness! That is actually very mild as compared to how I talk to co-workers when they say that.

What do you mean by "signal lane"
- single lane (one way traffic)
- two lane (one single lane each direction) or
- signal lane (meant for motorists to turn)

Re: Residential streets most dangerous to kids, says Safe Kids

I certainly believe it is the most dangerous. But why is it everytime I drive somewhere the kids are on the streets....rather than their backyards or on a actual playground. All these times, do I rarely see an adult near.

(one neighbour said this about are other)
A neighbour had a adult over and the both parents kids were playing, kid goes down ...

Re: Street racing?

You two :D

Reflections: I have already confirmed that the sign of "slow traffic keep right" is not enforceable in itself in another forum. And unfortunately for people that ask....someone was issued an offence for unnecessary slow driving that was somewhere on Hwy 69 about 8yrs ago...and the JP threw it out....stating the maximum speed is 90km/hr ...

And every Tom, Dick and Harry will take his words for gospel as well....

We build highways that are capable of these speeds. We have cars that are capable of these speeds. There is considerable doubt we have drivers that are capable of these speeds, but until or unless you choose to do something about that

No problem.....we actually have several members who don't use the equipment on a regular basis saying things like that.....it is either one OR the other (radar or laser) (laser is also called LIDAR) and those are actually acronyms anyway!

Re: Tickets in other province - suspension

Ontario has a reciprical agreement with Quebec, meaning fines there come here, fines here go there..

I'm guessing now, but since you are suspended in Quebec, due to fines. You will have to clear up the fines, then start at the beginner Ontario licence level at G1 since your licence is not valid.

OR

Maybe there was not an agreement with the ...

Re: McGuinty woos Sports Car Company???

I have driven a porsche and Ferrarri on the 401 as well as local roads....in both, I thought I was back on the farm driving a tractor, it was so rough, yet so low to the ground like being on a toboggan......think it was due to the poor roads we have. Owing them is more of a "status" symbol...see me thing! As you can't enjoy the ride.

Re: HTA 136(1)(b)

Witnesses say the intersection has a history for accidents - including a fatality recently. Rumble strips were added 2 years ago, neighbours have been petitioning for amber lights or 4 way stop.
If this intersection is so bad, then surely your son should be well aware of this, if not, there is some fall back to poor driving instruction.

In the ...

Re: HTA 144 (14)

If it were me, I'd still defend myself on the belief that the wrong charge was laid. Perhaps Impede Traffic would have been more appropriate.

I would think that IF you are suggesting what charge was more appropriate, and attempting to bamboozle a person with your attempt on legal BS, you would at least look up things and know that there is no ...
