Re: Errors and Omissions

First off, I asked to see the radar reading, the officer refused to show me because he said the reading had been erased or some bs like that.
That is correct police are not required to show the person a radar or lidar reading. 1) Police do not even have to "lock" the reading on the display 2) It is unsafe for persons to be outside of their ...

Re: This is just getting CRAZY!!!

So the way I translate this: Hard acceleration + Police Presence = Time to Chat :D . The funny thing is, no law was broken.
Interpretation: Outdistance another vehicle perhaps? Or perhaps as I mentioned unable to get a radar reading....although still appears greater than 50km over the limit...good time to remind the driver of this legislation ...

Fine $110 per mirror.

Re: This is just getting CRAZY!!!

If the driver was going through all the gears as indicated, the vehicle would/could be above the speed limit....maybe even close to 50 over at one point? The officer was unable to get an actual speed, hence the warning for racing!

Quite possibly the officer did not have the ability to articulate the evidence for a charge for the following ...

Re: Do not drive through the intersection - 182(2)

Defence of sunshine...good luck...stupid sun

Placement of sign...HTA Oreg 615 does not stipulate where those types of signs are placed.......however common sense comes in and the signs are always on the hydro poles on the opposite side of the intersection. This is if traffic is stopped (by stop sign, or traffic control signal) that all ...

Re: following too close without accident

, so this tells me he was literally giving out tickets to meet quotas. . I am a very honest person
If you were so honest you would not ASS-U-ME what an officer is doing unless you know for a fact. There are no quotas. There also could be more than one cruiser in the area stopping cars, and one drives away, then it would look like that same ...

Re: Penalties for speeding

15over the speed limit = $37.50, with a total fine of $52.50

I would give the local court a call and ask....I do not know the answer how it would be entered as a conviction.

The other option is to ask for a trial and speak to the prosecutor before hand, the prosecutor can then ask the JP to have the ticket withdrawn OR amended the fine to the ...

It would not be listed in the HTA, that is one Act of many that are wrote on the same Provincial Offence Notice.

Re: Penalties for speeding

I patrol from London to Windsor.

I am monitoring vehicles in the opposite direction by actually watching the traffic, when I see a vehicle I estimate to be travelling at "x" rate of speed, I then have to confirm my visual observations with a radar, which is simply pressing a button on a hand remote. I do not have to look down to see the remote, I ...

Crazy drivers found

I just completed a 2 day road trip to Iowa. Travelled there for a friend to buy a used car. It was a long drive 9hrs each way.

The driving in Illinois (south end of Chicago) makes what I have seen of GTR drivers look like angels. Due to all the ramps, the speed is 45mph (80km ?) anyway, was getting smoked out there, wow! vehicles criss crossing ...

124 IS AVERAGE and for the left lane it's far below average

That is not the average in my area at all...not even close. Maybe b/c we run with 6 officers per shift and visibility is high. Plus throw in the amount of traffic stops we do.

Last night shift I drove 54km exactly and had only one vehicle travelling over 115km/hr....and that was at ...

Re: Rediculousness

In the current OTA it states that all vehicles must have a muffler BUT if the government(and police) actually did some reading they would discover that not ALL vehicles come with a muffler from the factory.
I got thinking about this and sounds way off the rocker so to speak....why would gov't conform their laws to manufacturer's design. This has ...

Re: Improper Left turn on oneway street

Also, why is the car before me and after me that made the turn didn't get the ticket.

That is kinda like...why didn't you get that vehicle for speeding. Can only stop one at once. Maybe was doing notes, finished, looked up and saw your vehicle.....didn't see the 1st one, and your vehicle to that officer might be the first one.....something like ...
