Re: attending the appeal in a local court...

It is not an "appeal". You are simply challenging the ticket itself. So you should read the "trial option" and follow those instructions. Offence notices vary on the back as to how to go about this, so read carefully. Some are mail in, some must appear in person.

If you select the trial, it will be in the court jurisdiction of where the offence ...

Re: Help with driving while disqualified charge

How can I be disqualified when I in fact at the time of the offence and currently hold a valid license of a higher class then the officer who nailed me probably has?

What class of licence means absolutely nothing.

Here is info from the MTO site......

I know nothing about these red light cameras....how does one know what intersection they are at? Or are they frequently moved?

On a snowy, slippery drive, I'd rather be behind a big rig than in front of it.

I would think the same way construction zones are proven. Police receive a certified MTO copy of the zone and bring it to court.

Re: Requesting disclosure in toronto

Trying to trip up an officer on the stand using radar technology can be tricky. .

I can count on one hand how many speeding trials I have not been successful in. Each time was one word left out of my testimony. I will not leave any of those words out again.

The more the officer uses the equipment the more proficient the officer will be and be ...

Re: Street racing?

The province's top cop says street racing legislation introduced last September and the re-introduction of the Ontario Provincial Police's aerial traffic enforcement program have kept more motorists alive this summer, compared to this time last year.

OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino said the number of fatalities on OPP patrolled roads have dropped ...

If cruiser with a computer, you can see the owner, expiry. If you tab on the owner, you can see the complete driving history since they were first licenced.

I would think it would be more an observation such as monitoring traffic and observed a red camaro traveling faster than the posted speed limit. So much greater that it passed 7 other motor vehicles. The camaro was "clocked" between 2 ...

Re: How to avoid a speeding ticket!

What you say at roadside (ie I was going 124) can only be used in a "voir dire". I have yet to see that used in any speeding trial, not that it could not.

Personally, if someone admits to the speed I give them a break. If they less than forthwith with the truth, they do not receive a break.

Re: Signalling for speed trap

Most times I do not know exactly where the next cruiser is so I would stop someone that has their lights flashing and inquire the reason for the flashing lights. This is to check the mechanical fitness of the vehicle. Would not want a short in the wiring to start a fire or the vehicle to have intermittent lights once night came.

The last person ...

Re: Signalling for speed trap

I know people flash lights but does not make sense what so ever.

Most often the "traps" are in areas where there is a high number of collisions, high number of fatalities, residential and school zones. Flashing someone lets them slow down and not get a ticket....so what's wrong with that? I would ask back, your family and your neighbourhood and ...
