I think the Concorde incident is bang on in releavance to someone mentioning the unknown dangers and potential for disaster.

Going down the highway or runway.
Tire strikes a metal object.
Tire blows.
End result was a crash of an airliner by a blown tire.
Car blows a tire at airliner takeoff speed can also be a recipe for disaster.

Yes, unless posted differently by black and white signs......yellow speed signs are cautionary/recommendations only and not enforceable.

Here's what I think happened:
The Volvo was pegged to the speed limit (as all Volvo's are). A grumpy old redneck was about to go by him in the other lane, when, because the Volvo guy was very tired, he wandered over into the other guys lane just a bit. This infuriated the pickup driver and he decide to ride just inches off his bumper to teach him ...

If someone refused to exit, then arrest as HTA 172 is an arrestable offence under the HTA.

Once someone is arrested under the HTA the motor vehicle can be detained with which the offence was committed until the final disposition of any prosecution under this Act.

with all this questions and situations about the tire being a major factor im thinking i have a good chance because a. officer did not take photos of scene, the owner of the other car did, b. officer didnt look at the tires closely or asked me about them.

here ya go.....Tire yaw marks occur when a vehicle slides sideways while still moving forward.

No, the coroner will have a complete report. (previous medical conditions, previous medical treatments (ie surgeries), any intoxicants in body, current medication and the cause of the death)

Sure you would be able to issue more tickets but some cars might not notice them like the marked vics.

Have you noticed a difference between OPP's all-white and black-and-white cruisers?

I find the most noticeable difference is the blue lights on cruisers and reaction time with drivers. I believe it is b/c blue is known world wide for police and that C'dn TV is swamped with american television that show police shows with blue lights.

If you think the tire blew, you should find out why it blew. Not to help your case, but to prevent it from happening in the future. How old were the tires? What pressure were they set at? Winter tires, all-seasons, or summer tires?
