Re: Missing drivers license number

If you're still looking for an early resolution meeting, you can plead not guilty and show up any available day from now until your trial. You can even show up on your trial date.

I would not waste my time thinking this mistake will result in your ticket being torn up. i'd consider early resolutions a courtesy. They are not required to do anything ...

1> I was told that if the other party is charged, that there is a yellow charge sheet given one or both drivers, I only recieved a "motor vehicle collision info exc. card"
I've been told this means that the other party was not charged, due to no witness's or conflicting stories, this could have a bearing on the insuramce especially if the other ...

Re: Hit and Run and the car left the scene

The collision centre wouldn't assign fault percentages. If there was a charge to be laid, that's a possibility. The only person who needs to worry is the other driver, who will probably get a knock on the door.

Fault determinations is based on the Fault Determination Rules , which are standard for all insurance providers. The other driver is 100 ...

Re: Driving While Suspended Inquiry

How should I approach this? It was an emergency

You might see it this way, but they'd probably disagree. It doesn't sound like any steps were taken for an active emergency. Did you inform the officer of the emergency? That your friend required immediate medical assistance? Why would the officer keep writing tickets while your friend is having ...

Re: Quick question. Please help.

The officer didn't file the ticket for whatever reason. It's not exactly a regular occurrence, but it happens.

However, I don't think I would have dumped money into a paralegal here. Not all that necessary for what you wanted.

Re: Fault determination - T bone

Turn was not in safety. You had the right of way. There's no reason for the fault to be split. Unless there's more to this story, it's pretty clear cut.

They changed it 2 years back when they increased the penalties for handheld driving.

Re: suspended license

If your wife was pulled over roadside, she would have been charged with driving while suspended. If there's some sort of odd circumstance that shows she didn't simply ignore her conviction and was unaware of a suspension, they'd likely take that into consideration at your summons date and go from there.

Insurance providers deny coverage for ...

Re: Dashcam Footage, Who is at fault?

It's your responsibility to make sure you can complete the turn in safety while yielding to all incoming traffic. The other driver has the right of way. Whether there is a signal wouldn't supersede your obligation to turn in safety.

Your video isn't currently available so I've attached somewhat of a recreation for others to comment.

The Ram is hardly excessive in speed. The fault is on you. His turn has priority over yours.

Re: Caselaw for speeding on curved road

Agreed.

Unless you stop you car on the feet of the officer in a perfectly straight line, everything is technically going to be "on an angle", "curved", etc.

The error you are trying to prove benefits the driver. The device measures Point A to Point B in a straight line.

What you are essentially saying by bringing up this argument is that you ...

Re: Right turn on red light camera - complete stop

There's a bit of confusion over your interpretation of the first picture. All red light camera tickets will show your car right before the line. The first picture always looks like this. The intent of the first picture is to show the car approaching the intersection while the light is already red before you move over the line.

Whether or not your ...

Re: Speeding ticket advice

1. I received 3 tickets 2 years ago: one for speeding (I went 16 over in a school zone not knowing it was a school zone), one for an expired ownership (I was driving my dad's car) and one for forgetting my insurance card at home. However I made a deal with the prosecutor and only had to pay the fine for not having my insurance card on me. My ...

Re: Police Entrapment

You were already speeding while following the officer.

Is that not a bit of failed logic in the entrapment theory you've provided?

Why would an officer need to go through all this trouble when you're already sitting behind him and speeding?
