They are all separate.

Do you know your plate frame was the issue? Your charge covers everything from dirty plates to spare tires and bumper bars.

Re: They gave me two days to make a decision

I have a decent explanation with proof.

Do you have a defense or an excuse? Excuses aren't going to take you far in a trial. Keep that in mind when preparing a defense.

Red light camera tickets aren't going to impact your insurance, which is why many here don't really worry about them. They don't know who is driving so you can have piece of ...

Re: No Confirmation Of Speeding Ticket

If nothing comes in the mail, does that mean I got lucky and they "lost" the case, or the cop never filed the ticket? Should I call their local courthouse and ask - in which case if they forgot about it would it restart the process? If i don't receive anything in the mail and never pay/follow up on the ticket what would happen, seeing as i got no ...

Re: Question regarding red light camera

Red light camera will go off when the light is red, your vehicle is behind the line, and then proceeds to pass the line. It will give you an amount of time on how long the light had already been red when your car passes the line (eg. 0.9 seconds)

That being said, you'd need to be in an intersection that takes advantage of red light camera tech ...

Re: How do I make a plea-bargain?

If you already have a court date, you can just show up like you would have normally. If there is room on your charge to offer you a deal, they will do so before they start any trials. You'll have a room full of others with the same trial time as you and you'll all get in line. Offers will be made one after the other.

Re: 90 in a 60

Any conviction could impact your insurance.

Your provider may choose to ignore your first offense or they may not even notice it till it's gone from your abstract. It depends on the provider.

What you choose to do is up to you. If the points aren't an issue and you have some spare time, request a trial and learn as you go. You'll still be offered ...

Re: Got two traffic tickets and dont know what any of this m

I dont understand the options I have? I want to go deal with the charges but I dont know if I should pick the second option or the third option? Both require me to go to court at the same address. Do I go there at any business hours and look for ways to deal with the tickets?

Option 2 is simply a plea deal. If there is room to offer you a lesser ...

Re: 90 in a 60

Hi Guys,

Today I was driving down Dundas st in Oakville and I was late for an appointment I had. I wasnt paying attention to my speed or the speed limit. I was stopped and given a $220 ticket for doing 90 in a 60 zone. 1. Im a 19 year old student 2. I dont work, therefore dont have $220. 3. My parents pay the insurance and this will cause it to ...

Re: Traffic Trial

Usually you can't just show up with pictures. There's a process with submitting pictures before your trial date that maybe someone else can go through in better detail. Make sure you go through these steps before your date if you plan on bringing photos.

Re: Failure to Disobey Stop Sign [No Right Turn]

What are my chances of getting the charges dismissed ?

Based on it being a so-called petty ticket? None. Pettiness is subjective to the beholder, that's why the law draws a line in the sand. That line is 7am. Compassion and/or an officers pettiness is not a defense. The question is going to be whether or not you made a right turn after 7am and ...

Re: Construction Zone - No Workers Present

As previous stated, workers present only impacts your set fine. You're still speeding whether they are there or not, but your fine increases. The extra fine is there for you to be extra cautious, similar to Community Safety Zones.

The temporary speed limit isn't solely dependent on workers being present. Construction brings different conditions to ...

Thanks for the confirmations. I was not stopped for more than 3 minutes

You already said it was 30 seconds and now you've gone to 3 minutes. Not that it matters to me, but if you take it to trial like you're suggesting, they are going to nit pick your statements.

If I go to the town hall to appeal this (I guess that's 'First Attendance'?), and ...

So, if I should get a notice of impending conviction in the mail in 2 weeks, can I fight to get the ticket dismissed on these terms?

Re: Reduced ticket already, was on cruise control

I just got a speeding ticket for 15km/h over which was reduced from 23km/h over. It was 65 in a 50 zone which I knew very well, so to prevent myself from speeding, I always use cruise control to 55km/h.

Were you going downhill?

There was a car passing me when I was signaled to pull over. Is there a possibility that the officer shot the radar ...

Re: Question on right of way.

Legally, you would have the right to walk across without being impeded in this situation.

Personally, if there's no one behind the vehicle and they're waiting for an opportunity to merge, i'll just walk behind them.
