Re: The Fast Lane

So by about 35 seconds how fast were you going and what is the speed limit?

And we are missing if the Jeep cut anyone off.... just sayin.

Re: License Plate cover - OPP / Police in General

There is a thread here from a young gent who thought that he was being "racially" selected.

His solution was to write an essay, very well worded I might add, and sent it off to the local, Metro Toronto PS.

I believe his issues disappeared shortly after the letter was sent. I'll see if I can find it, but would advise you to look too, just in ...

Re: When do the police call off a chase?

3:00 am = very light traffic, usually..... wonder if air support was available?

Once you got to a built up area though, you did see the pursuit vehicle had stopped... so possibly there lies the answer.

Re: The Fast Lane

Slow merging = Stoopidity, but that's just my personal opinion.

However, there have been numerous times I have gotten on to the 407 at Neyegawa heading east and some sally who for whatever reason decides it's ok to get to the end of the ramp doing 70!!

The flow of traffic in this area is around 110-120 at pretty much all times of the day. This ...

If you bring that to court and there is still something missing, IMO you are good for a stay. Something being testing notes or other info you would require to mount a full defense.

Re: Radar Gun Error Code & Incomplete Disclosure

Thanks for the OP clarification. It doesn't make the whole answer much clearer however, unless you mean because you unable to represent me, not to worry.

Does the Prosecutors office have the various radar operating manuals on hand? or would I have to go to the Police to request a copy or at least be given the opportunity to read it on site ...

I believe I could get reasonable doubt......... unfortunately I can't do it for the OP here.

Re: Radar Gun Error Code & Incomplete Disclosure

I don't know that I can prove the other vehicle was traveling faster, I am hoping to suggest that, and attempt to introduce doubt so that the reading could be attributed to either vehicle. Unless you know of a strategy to prove it?

I have already requested disclosure a 2nd time, on October 7, but as of today I haven't received it.

As I ...

Re: Radar Gun Error Code & Incomplete Disclosure

If the car behind you was moving faster, then you will have to prove it. It is not hard to prove that you can get a radar reading from the second vehicle. As far as radar guns, you'll need the make and model used... you can find details online from there. Go for a second disclosure request, ask for typed/legible notes, if you don't get the details ...

Re: valid speeding defence?

so are you saying its possible for one direction of a road can be considered a built up area and the other direction a posted 60km/h zone?

I lean to "no". a road is a road and visibility is usually equal no matter which direction you are going. the built up area covers both directions..... take pictures and prove to the crown that the signage ...
