Re: Turning Right on a Red light 144.18

"Every driver shall obey every traffic control signal that applies to the lane that he or she is in,"

So when you come to an intersection with a "Left Turn" light, but also the regular lights this is when you follow your arrows. If the left turn arrow is on and regular lights are green then all of you go. If only the "Turning" arrows are lit ...

Re: Turning Right on a Red light 144.18

In this case, why are there also signs saying "No right turn on red light" on some intersections with left turn arrow indications? Perhaps you have to face the arrow indication for the law to be applicable?

This would be my impression. Rights on reds are allowed in Ontario unless signed otherwise. If the road you are turning into has two or ...

Re: Know any funny Traffic related Jokes? Post them here!

Johnny Leadfoot is driving along just after his wife left him for a traffic cop. Lost in his thoughts he didn't notice the speedo heading way too far to the high side of 120. Suddenly he passes an officer and on go the lights and siren. Johnny, being of not so sound mind and sound Porsche 911 turbo, deside WTF I have nobody to answer to and grabs ...

Re: Street racing?

Just a sideways view on this "law". How many people have been killed or injured by street racing in the last 5 years??? I thought I saw Citynews had the number 46 death's somewhere on their website. I'm not saying there is no need for this law but I believe that "46" is a lot less then the "not wearing a seat belt" or "Drunk Driving" deaths over ...

Re: Electric Cars in Ontario?

Yes, you are right, Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries do give off toxic fumes, however, the batteries used in electric cars use Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries. I assume you do have a rechargeable Li-Ion battery powered device (cellphone, mp3 player, camera, etc.). What was the last time you saw that battery give off toxic (or any other) fumes when ...

Re: Street racing?

90 day ADLS and 12 hour suspension are actually both Provincially imposed suspensions, HTA 48. FYI

I have no further arguement but this post is here so that I get the last word.
