Forced to speed?
That's hilarious...I wouldn't try that in court, unless you have Sandra Bullock with you and photos of the bus and the bomb strapped underneath it!
Sorry man, but forced to speed made me burst out loud...

Re: RED LIGHT CAMERA OFFENCE
Not so...red lights are absolute liability offences. If it is heavy rain, snow etc...you are REQUIRED to adjust your driving speed so that you can stop. The evidence is indisputable from the photos, but there are extenuating circumstances such as weather conditions (heavy rain).
So many people blame the roads, if the roads are bad..slow down!

You are correct. Your insurance might take a dim view of an unlicensed person operating your vehicle regardless of the location however.

Re: Visual estimation of speed from the side, inaccurate?
I've had lots of success with this...giving a side view speed estimate is a little harder to be accurate to within 5 km/h let's say, but there's a huge difference between 0 and 30 km/h.

Re: Do courts provide illustration materials?
Might be better to prepare a series of drawings so that you can provide the court and the prosecution copies, court would likely want a copy filed as evidence.

Re: Ticket for Red light-fail to stop
If the front car tried to stop, you should have been able too.
Seems like you are in a pickle.
Clean record = go to court and ask prosecutor for a DISOBEY LANE LIGHT.

There is none, no stature of limitations in Ontario...that's why you can't find it.

Option 2 or 3 are gambles. Don't be gambling.
Option 1 is appropriate, but wanting the names addresses occupation & criminal record of who?

Re: How to find if officer filed ticket on time?
In my experience, if the ticket is received after 7 days from the date of issue, the provincial offences office has it quashed. They won't even process it.

I'm pretty sure that the delay is now attributable to you as a result of the JP's decision...so 11b no longer applies.

The time to get specific answers to question is cross examination.
As for the officers notes, abbreviations are his notes, that's what you get.
I highly doubt you'll get a stay.
Be prepared for trial.
