Re: They are really pushing it

On second thought, you are clearly writing some excellent English, seems like you are making a mockery of the justice system by asking for something you don't require to have a fair trial.

Why not just ask for a binary translator and just show up making a lot of beeping sounds?

Canada's two official languages are French and English...you are in ...

Re: Top Ten EASY Ways to Dodge a Ticket!

BTW The MTO recently sent us a suspended driver's database that indicates 7,000 suspended drivers in our jurisdiction...

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2010/02/01/ontario-suspended-drivers613.html

Shows that 267,000 drivers are suspended in Ontario...I'm betting based on years and years of experience that a good portion of those are ...

Re: Top Ten EASY Ways to Dodge a Ticket!

A couple of bad apples don't spoil the whole barrel.

So two highway traffic acts? One for law abiders and one for law breakers? The law has to be the same for everyone and that's the same relating my earlier comment about good cops and bad cops, we all have to follow the same rules.

BTW: In your original post, you DID say "If police can't see ...

Re: We're not unfairly complaining about congestion

Speed and fuel economy studies

Steady speed fuel economy.

Fuel economy at steady speeds with selected vehicles was studied in 1973, 1984, and 1997. The most recent study[11] indicates greater fuel efficiency at higher speeds than earlier studies; for example, some vehicles achieve better mileage at 65 than at 45 mph (72 km/h),[11] although not ...

Re: Two tickets and court, newb needs advice

Not a moving violation. No points. It's a ticket sure. But does it make you a less safe driver cause you forgot your licence in your other pants? No.

Re: Top Ten EASY Ways to Dodge a Ticket!

Ahh....tinted windows...

Well let's see...

1. They make it harder for police to see if you are wearing your seatbelt. - Safety-
2. They make it harder for police to see if you are on your cell phone. -Safety-
3. They make it difficult to identify the driver. -Accountability-
4. They make it difficult to pedestrians and other drivers to make ...

Go to court on and speak to the prosecutor, plead to the licence if they drop the moving violation.

Re: Failure To display two Plates

No. Ontario owned / registered vehicles must conform to law of Ontario. Quebec has their rules for their vehicles, there's no way to obtain a second plate in Quebec.

Equipment like mufflers, window tint etc must conform to the roadways on which they operate regardless of home turf.

Re: Notice!! The officer will not be coming to court

THey've given you notice that the officer will not be there.

It's the same as is you sent them notice you wouldn't, you wouldn't be found guilty if you provided notice, but rescheduled.

Go win your case in July...
