Re: Driver clocked at 250 km/h

One more Skiing death in Ontario this year and it will be the same number of deaths used by Cannsfield to sell the Street Racing law to the public!
Who would've thought ski resorts could have produced so much carnage, when they're only open for 4-5 months a year!

The thing that's being disregard is the CANADIAN CHARTER of RIGHTS
YOU"RE GUILTY until proven innocent!
And even after being found INNOCENT, you're STILL on the HOOK FOR all FEES!

Sgt. Dave Woodford

The accused will have to pay $150 to have his licence re-instated. That fee on top of the cost of towing and impounding the vehicle means the ...

Re: Driver clocked at 250 km/h

Looks like the proposal for 172 was purely to address racing, not speeding/stunting. Maybe the media shouldn't get the blame - but it's stupid how people want to argue semantics. Trying to argue that, "There was only one car! How can that be RACING?!" as if that would get the charge thrown out.

Is it dangerous to do any of the actions classified ...

Re: Driver clocked at 250 km/h

Sure it is. It's not racing, and it's mainly the media's fault for making everyone think that 172 is the "street racing" charge. But at 250 km/h, that is definitely performing a stunt. I think I can safely say that no one drives at 250 km/h because it is practical. He was doing it for the adrenaline rush or to show off to others on the highway ...

Really I don't agree with it at all, but why not just go in and get your order, even then they have 10 people on drive thru and 2 for counter service!

I think they should starting ticketing the idiot who decides to do his Christmas shopping while there is 10 cars behind him, or even blame Timmys for allowing such orders to be placed!

HAHA, that police car was NOT impounded!

It was not a cruiser, it was unmarked!

They most certainly did impound the car in question, they just did'nt mention it until today that there is now 2 definitions for the word impoundment!

Apparently the OPP has serious problems with Street Racers within it's ranks, 3 officers charged so far, and the total frontline for the OPP is?

Anyone know what impound lot this cruiser would have been taken too?
An address would be nice.
