Your license number doesn't vanish into thin air. It'll exist whether or not you choose to renew your license or not.
Even if you don't have a license, they will generate a license number for you and it'll be waiting for you if you ever decide to apply.

expired license and incoming demerit points
hello,
here's an hypothetical scenario:
Can the conviction of an HTA offense (ticket) affect a driver's license that was not renewed and is expired?
The expiry date of the license, which the driver chose not to renew, preceded the conviction date on court.
Will the expired license receive the demerit points?
thank you.

Re: Red light camera ticket. Moving for emergency vehicle
If OP decides to fight the ticket, can the conviction go to the MTO records?
Considering this is red light camera ticket that was sent to owner of vehicle with no insurance implications.

by-law tickets don't appear on your driving record and won't affect your insurance premiums
there are some by-law tickets associated with prohibited turns that involve 2 demerit points, but those won't affect your insurance unless you've collected enough points to get your license suspended

I am faxing my 11b application very soon. I used the Morin and Andrade cases as Juriprudence. My question is do I print out the whole trial transcript and fax it, or just the sections I quoted.
Would appreciate a reply asap as I am under the time gun
Thanks
I remember faxing only only the first few pages, 6 pages each IIRC...

What is the risk of getting the demerit points if one tries to bargain a lesser fine?Mugwug wrote:Typically in exchange for a guilty plea the fine can be reduced and the time to pay it can be extended. If I understood the above correctly, you don't need to go through the tedious paperwork of filing an 11b before requesting a stay of proceedings?

I was wondering the other day, if you get two tickets by the same officer on the same day, and if you are two file an 11(b) motion after receiving the court date, is it one procedure (set of documents) for both tickets? Or do you have to file both tickets separately?

How would they have evidence that it is you driving? anyone could be driving the car, same goes for parking tickets, it just gets sent(or billed) to the owner. If they have no reasonable evidence (ie. photos) I'd say anyone could have a good defence.
